Guys, I found a place in Dunsan-dong with a really great atmosphere!!🥹 I had to come tell everyone looking for a good restaurant near Daejeon City Hall Station. These days it's not easy to find an Italian restaurant in Daejeon with a nice mood.

But Bologna won me over the moment I walked in, starting with the lighting and the interior. It's perfect for a blind date or an anniversary, so let me tell you more. It's an Italian restaurant right in the middle of Dunsan-dong.

Thanks to the vintage props and soft lighting, you fall for the atmosphere as soon as you step inside.

Bread before the meal

The first thing to arrive was the bread! It was slightly crisp outside and soft inside. Dipped in balsamic sauce, the nutty flavor of the bread came through even more. The portion was just right too, so you don't fill up before the mains.

The cube steak cream risotto had so much cream that one spoonful spread a rich nuttiness through my mouth. Biting into a steak cube, I could feel the juices burst out. It was nicely browned outside and tender inside, a great contrast of textures. The cream soaked in between every grain of rice, so it was hard to put the spoon down.

Gorgonzola pizza

The gorgonzola pizza had a pastry-like dough, so the outside crackled apart when I bit in. It was topped with plenty of cheese, and it felt a bit like eating an egg tart.

The signature gorgonzola aroma was mild and not off-putting. A nutty sweetness came through before any saltiness, so I think even people who find cheese difficult could enjoy it. It was the most memorable of the four dishes. One set was plenty for two people, and I felt it was good value for the price.
