I went to Beorn Hair Cheongdam, a hair salon near Gangnam-gu Office Station, for a full color with designer Seonjun. My hair was in rough shape and honestly my whole look felt a bit less put-together, so I decided it was time for a full dye.

Where is Beorn Hair Cheongdam, and where do you park?

Beorn Hair Cheongdam is about a 5-minute walk from Gangnam-gu Office Station. Being so close was really convenient haha 😁

Valet parking is available. According to Naver Place, you park at the valet booth lot across from Cheongdam-dong 40-10, then head up to the 2nd floor of Beorn Hair Cheongdam.

Inside Beorn Hair Cheongdam: a clean, tidy salon floor

The interior of Beorn Hair Cheongdam has a really clean feel. I booked a weekday morning slot but there were way more people than I expected!

They looked like locals from the neighborhood. There was a mom who'd brought her kid, and some people who seemed to work nearby too.

Everyone seemed like regulars, clearly on friendly terms with the hair designers. Beorn Hair Cheongdam really seems to have a loyal customer base.

The consultation with designer Seonjun before the full color

I did a full color a year ago and have just been doing root touch-ups ever since, so you can imagine the state my hair was in 🤣

Designer Seonjun at Beorn Hair Cheongdam near Gangnam-gu Office Station gave me a really thorough consultation on what color I wanted and what I was going for.

Even when I described things a bit vaguely, he understood right away and mixed up the color combination on the spot. Before starting the dye process, he carefully applied a scalp protectant.

They also gave me a cool iced Americano and some mini waffle cookies, so I got to sip and snack happily through the whole thing.

How to care for red brown and violet hair color at home

They shampooed and blow-dried my hair really carefully. And since red brown + violet can fade easily, they told me to make sure to fully dry my hair before bed if I ever wash it at night.

For a while there could be some color transfer, so I also need to make sure my hair is completely dry before putting on clothes.

The blow-dry was so thorough and exactly to my taste. Getting volume at my roots is never easy, but designer Seonjun at Beorn Hair Cheongdam near Gangnam-gu Office Station nailed the blow-dry perfectly to my face shape and head shape!

Photos taken outside to show how it looks in natural light. Overall it reads as a calm dark brown, but when the light hits it, the red and violet tones come through and the whole color turns out really pretty >.<
