What's the atmosphere like at Hôtel de Couture?
The place feels cozy and snug?! The moment I walked in, the sunlight was streaming through and it was so warm haha. Because the walls are glass windows, the room looks bigger and doesn't feel stuffy at all~
Now it's order time~~ We came to a Western-style restaurant, so what should we get~^^! Off to Hongik Univ. Station for a Yeonnam-dong date~~
Tableware engraved with the Hôtel de Couture name
The biggest plus of Hôtel de Couture is that the tableware is seriously pretty!! They use dishes with the restaurant's name printed on them, which gives the whole place an even more upscale feel ❤️
House steak ₩35,000
The house steak is described on the menu as a "rich, meaty house steak" and costs ₩35,000. 🥩 Steak, the must-have for any anniversary!! It comes with fried onion and french fries on the side, so the decoration is really pretty too.
Honey whole-bacon rosé pasta ₩17,000
The honey whole-bacon rosé pasta tops a rosé pasta with whole bacon coated in natural honey, for ₩17,000. The plump, tender bacon went really well with the thick, rich rosé haha. There's a lot of sauce, so you can scoop it up generously along with the pasta. Thumbs up 👍 👍
Jambon truffle cream risotto ₩16,000
The jambon truffle cream risotto is a jambon (Korean-style cured ham) cream risotto scented with truffle oil, for ₩16,000. If you like truffle and you like risotto, I'd call it a must-order! You can feel the grains of rice as you chew, and maybe because it's different from a usual risotto, I just kept reaching for it haha

I think Hôtel de Couture is a place you have to try if you're visiting the Hongik Univ. Station area~ First you'll fall for the warm interior that reminds you of a European hotel ❤️ and then there's the wide choice, with brunch, pasta, risotto, steak and wine on the menu. Going with a few people means the fun of picking a variety of dishes! The plating and mood are great for photos, so I think it'd be perfect for meeting up with friends too 😘 People around me also said it's already famous as a Yeonnam-dong date spot?!

I think the biggest difference at Hôtel de Couture is that it has the strengths of both a brunch café and a restaurant!! Regular brunch cafés are often mostly drinks and desserts, and pasta places focus on meals only, which always bugged me 🤔 but at Hôtel de Couture you can have brunch, a proper meal and dessert all in one place, which saves travel time and wraps everything up in one go~
The plating of every dish is so refined that the photos come out great?! When I posted them on Instagram, tons of people asked where it was! Overall I was happy with the food, the atmosphere and the service, and if I'm looking for a date spot or a place to meet friends in Yeonnam-dong, I'm planning to go back!🙂 I especially want to recommend it to people who want a relaxed meal in a nice space😋 Enjoy yourself at cozy Hôtel de Couture ❤️
