Seongsu burger shop waitlist and parking tips: Bored & Hungry Seongsu

Bored & Hungry Seongsu is an American-style smash burger shop near Exit 3 of Seongsu Station in Seongdong, Seoul. On a summer-break lunch with her son, the writer ordered the Bacon Deluxe Double (15,900 won) and the Classic Cheese Single (8,900 won) as corn ribs combos. Even as number 1 on the waitlist, she waited about 15 minutes, and the whole visit took about 30 minutes including the food. Because the lot in front of Bored & Hungry Seongsu charges 1,000 won per 10 minutes, she recommends the public parking lot near Seongsu Station Exit 4 or public transport. Verdict: Bored & Hungry Seongsu is worth the short wait, and the corn ribs combo upgrade is the order to get.

Large café in Gongdo, Anseong: patbingsu & fig campagne, Chat Baker

Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café is a large two-floor brunch and bakery café inside 512 Square Outlet in Gongdo-eup, Anseong, Gyeonggi. On the first day of her husband's summer vacation, the writer stopped at Chat Baker on a drive date and ordered patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans) for 18,000 won, a condensed milk cream salt bread, a fig campagne and coffee; the handmade-style patbingsu, with red beans that kept their texture, was the best bingsu she has ever had. With a glass wall that has water running down it and free parking, Chat Baker is recommended for anyone looking for a spacious café around Pyeongtaek and Anseong.
