Seongsu burger shop waitlist and parking tips: Bored & Hungry Seongsu

A hot-spot outing with my son during summer break Seongsu date-spot burger favorite, Bored & Hungry Parking info, wait times, and an honest review of the menu we loved

My son loves burgers, and I wanted to treat him to something other than Lotteria, Mom's Touch, or McDonald's. This place has real local, authentic-American vibes — the kind rapper Snoop Dogg fell for 🥰 My son and I both fell for it too. Here's a detailed review with all the info.

Where is Bored & Hungry Seongsu, and where should you park?

Bored & Hungry Seongsu is close to Exit 3 of Seongsu Station. My son and I came out to check out a pop-up and got hungry, so we ate lunch here. There's parking right in front at the Pungnim I-One building lot, but it costs ₩1,000 per 10 minutes, which is on the pricier side, so I recommend the nearby public lot or public transit instead. 👉 The closest option is the paid public street lot near Seongsu Station Exit 4, ₩3,000 per hour.

BORED & HUNGRY It has the hip vibe that young trendsetters go for these days — the perfect pick for a Seongsu date with my son.

A great entrance for a couple's photo too. We went in, and there were no open seats. Everyone was just standing around the entrance, so I asked a staff member if we needed to wait, and put our name on the waitlist board shown in this photo. We got waitlist number 1.

⭐ Tip — most people weren't putting their names on the waitlist, just standing there... so we got lucky and became number 1. If you walk in and there's no seat, join the waitlist right away.

How long was the wait, and what's the vibe inside?

Right when you walk into Bored & Hungry Seongsu, there's a waiting area. Me and my son in that round mirror 💕 Since we were on the waitlist, they notify you via KakaoTalk when it's your turn, so you can wait comfortably inside, out of the heat. Even at waitlist number 1, people weren't leaving their tables... we arrived around 1pm and waited about 15 minutes, then another 10 minutes or so after ordering once seated — about 30 minutes total until we ate. I think this really depends on the day. If you're lucky, even number 3 might clear fast, but as we found out, even number 1 can mean some waiting.

They sell various goods like T-shirts and eco bags (that's me in the mirror again 😆)

Hip interior + lots of people, including a group of Black customers having what looked like a company dinner — total proof this is an authentic American-style burger joint 👍 (I heard this space can be rented out for events, and honestly, with an interior this nice, it'd be perfect for that.)

One section of seating is covered wall-to-wall with the signature character graffiti art. A gorgeous spot for photos, with plenty of low-key photo zones around — total Instagram material! A special date spot for couples, families, anyone.

The kitchen & self-serve bar. While I was getting stuff at the self-serve bar, I noticed the staff cooking in the kitchen were foreign too, which caught my eye. Both the people eating and the people making the food are hip, so hip ✨

Plates, forks, knives, wet wipes, hygiene gloves. They give you an ice cup and you self-pour whatever soda you want — super convenient! There's even a drink with a Felix (the K-pop idol) tie-in, for the fans~ 😍

What we ordered, the prices, and why the combo upgrade is worth it

At Bored & Hungry Seongsu, my son ordered the Bacon Deluxe Double for ₩15,900, and I got the Classic Cheese Single for ₩8,900. We poured ourselves cold Pepsi and waited.

The full menu with details is on Naver Place. My son's Bacon Deluxe Double was ₩15,900, mine, the Classic Cheese Single, was ₩8,900. My son went full flex and picked the most expensive, tastiest option; I stuck with the signature basic.

I'm a corn lover, so when I saw this on the side menu, I had to try it. It's ₩7,400 on its own, or ₩9,400 for the combo upgrade with a drink included. Soda alone is normally ₩3,000 (so you're saving ₩1,000). Order the combo upgrade for the better value!

The Bacon Deluxe Double and Classic Cheeseburger, tasted and reviewed

The name synonymous with Seongsu burgers, especially if you're looking for a good handmade burger — Bored & Hungry. The popular Bacon Deluxe Double, with its impressive stack of patties!

The melted cheese on the Classic Cheese burger is a work of art 💖 This shot really shows off this place's signature burger style — the edges of the patty are thin and crispy!

My son ate so much 🥰 I might not be able to take him on a trip to America, but let's make some happy summer break memories in 'America' right here in Seongsu-dong~

As we ate, it was so good I looked into the style — 📍 Smash burger An original American-style burger where the beef patty is pressed hard and seared, giving the outside a crispy texture and a distinctive bite. I heard the brand won an American <Best Hamburger> award in 2022. Once you taste it, you can tell — the quality really sets this Seongsu date spot apart.

From the patty to the bun, everything was so good it disappeared in seconds 👍 If you're overwhelmed by the menu, start with this most basic burger. You might think, 'what's so special about it?' — but one bite in, you'll go 'whoa, this is different.' That's the Classic Cheeseburger. The only downside is that there are only two locations, Seongsu and Hongdae/Mapo, so it's a bit limited.

The fries were fried in clean oil too. The sauce is chipotle. Need I say more — that addictive taste that has you dipping again and again, like magic.

Definitely add the corn ribs

My son was almost finished, and I'd already demolished mine and was digging into the corn ribs — wow, what a gem 👍 Highly recommend! Unlike the round corn you get at buffet places like Ashley, these are cut long so you gnaw on them like ribs, which is fun to eat. The salty-savory sauce is perfect with beer or soda. If you feel like one piece isn't enough, order it as a side. Even people who don't like corn will love this. Bottom line: worth the wait! A happy Seongsu-dong date ends with delicious food.
