Goyang bakery café: bread 50% off at 7pm & mango ade, Baedagol

In short

Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) is a large bakery café in a detached house on Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil, between Wonheung and Wondang in Goyang, Gyeonggi. On a weekday visit around 4pm, the blogger had a squid ink crumble bread, a red bean bun, Gongju chestnut bread and a Mango Wareureu Ade in the outdoor yard seats, and noted the 2nd and 3rd parking lots and the daily 50% bread discount from 7pm. With its wide bread range and pretty garden, Baedagol Bakery House is a worthy stop on an Ilsan–Goyang bakery tour.

I visited Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스), a famous bread spot in Ilsan, Goyang. The bread is delicious, the garden is pretty and parking is easy, so it seems great for visiting with family, friends or a date. This is my story about this Ilsan café. 🥐

What are the hours and location of Baedagol Bakery House?

Photo related to Baedagol Bakery House hours and location

Baedagol Bakery House is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. It is in Goyang, between Wonheung and Wondang, at 123 Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil.

Is parking easy at Baedagol Bakery House?

Parking lot in front of Baedagol Bakery House on arrival

Besides the lot in front of the café, there are separate 2nd and 3rd parking lots, so parking is easy. When I arrived for my Ilsan bread tour and tried to park in front, it was full..? (And it was a weekday!)

2nd and 3rd parking lots at Baedagol Bakery House

No worries, there are the 2nd and 3rd lots. The lots are big and there were quite a lot of EV charging stations too. Such an easy café to park at 🤎

Seating and atmosphere at Baedagol Bakery House

Baedagol Bakery House is a café in a detached house. So you get the 1st floor, 2nd floor, a terrace and even a yard. The seating is quite roomy and pretty 🤍

So many people even on a weekday lol

There are lots of seats on the 1st floor once you go inside. The front yard seen through the big windows is so pretty 🤍 And when you go up to the 2nd floor,

The 2nd floor and rooms, good for groups

The 2nd floor has even more spacious seating. There are big tables, so groups can sit with no problem. Perfect for a family gathering, right? Even on the weekday I visited, there were quite a few groups.

And there's a pretty room like this too 🧡 It's separated as a room, so you can stay privately. Best of all, the green view through the window is so pretty 🌿

Terrace and yard seats: highly recommended

There are terrace seats too! You know it's the perfect season for a terrace right now•• The yard at Baedagol Bakery House is especially lovely, so I highly recommend the terrace and yard seats.

What bread does Baedagol Bakery House have?

Baedagol Bakery House has a truly wide range of tasty bread, so I highly recommend it for an Ilsan bread tour!

There's salt bread, ciabatta, multigrain red bean butter bread, fresh fruit croissants, ink crumble, scones (plain/blueberry) and more. I visited around 4pm on a weekday, and although quite a few breads were sold out, the variety is so wide that plenty were left. Even if you come late, you should be able to get bread without trouble!

Cake selection and hygienic display

On top of that, Baedagol Bakery House has lots of cakes too: fresh fruit Basque cheesecake, chocolate tart, tiramisu, Basque cheesecake, fresh fruit cream cheese and more 🍞

Oh, and I really liked that all the bread was kept hygienically inside cases. At big cafés like this, bread is often left out in the open, but Baedagol Bakery House is totally hygienic haha

Baedagol Bakery House has a varied drink menu: coffee, tea, handmade teas, smoothies and ades, and even bingsu (shaved ice dessert). I especially love that there are handmade teas like iced tea blossom and honey pear ginger tea!

And Baedagol's signature mango drinks 🥭 Mango season is back, right..? At Baedagol Bakery House there's mango ade, mango latte, mango yogurt smoothie and even mango snow bingsu 🥭 A total mango party 🥭 And not just any mango, it's "warareuk" (tumbling in heaps) lol

Near the bread fridge there's also a self-serve bar with tableware, water, and a spot where you can pack up leftover bread yourself.

How were the ink crumble and mango warareuk ade?

The weather was so nice that I grabbed an outdoor seat at Baedagol Bakery House 🤎

Here's what I picked!

  • Ink crumble
  • Red bean bun
  • Gongju chestnut bread
  • Mango warareuk ade

I'm not sure about the name of the Gongju chestnut bread, but I remember it as bread packed with Gongju chestnuts.

Chosen breads: ink crumble, red bean bun and Gongju chestnut bread

My bread taste is pretty obvious, haha. Why do I love this casual, rustic kind of bread so much 🥹

My top pick: the ink crumble

Everything was delicious, of course, but my top pick is the ink crumble! The outside is crunchy with crumble, and inside there's mochi (rice cake), so it's chewy and sweet lol I have a condition where I just grab any bread that looks like this wherever I go haha Baedagol Bakery House was a total success too! 🤍

Next, the mango warareuk ade. Half a whole mango sits on top, so the photos come out so well 🧡 And the mango was nicely ripened and so sweet 🥭

A good-weather day, and a good rest. Baedagol Bakery House is my pick for an Ilsan café and a big Goyang café 🧡 Do visit on your bread tour. :)
