Rainy-weekend pasta in Pocheon: off-menu crab risotto at Eoneu Dal

On a rainy weekend I was craving Western food for the first time in a while, so I headed to Eoneu Dal (어느달), a pasta restaurant in Pocheon. It serves everything from pasta to gnocchi and risotto, so I ordered a bit of everything. The crab risotto is the dish I remember most. Here are the dishes I tried and my honest review!

I first visited in December 2023, and this was my revisit after 2 years. It had gotten even better, haha.

Eoneu Dal location and opening hours in Pocheon

Eoneu Dal is at 456 Eoryong-dong, Pocheon, Gyeonggi (54 Jeongmundong-gil). It is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday to Sunday, 11:30–21:30. Last order is at 15:00 and 20:30.

Is parking easy at Eoneu Dal?

You can park right in front of the restaurant, which was convenient. The clean look of the building is the first thing you notice.

I arrived before 12 on a weekend and the lot was almost full already, haha. Clearly a popular spot!

Weekend lunch wait and the atmosphere inside Eoneu Dal

Even before 12 on a weekend, the dining hall was almost full. Right after we went in it filled up completely, and a waiting line formed.

The interior is decorated with flowers here and there, and they suit the overall decor nicely, so it looked pretty.

Here's the table we were shown to! It was set for two, right beside a big window, so it felt open and airy. The water they served wasn't plain water either, and you can feel the care they put in. Loved it, haha.

Salt bread starter and omija ade

The salt bread they prepared as an appetizer and the omija ade we ordered came out first.

The omija ade was tangy and sweet, a good match for Western dishes, and I was really happy that the starter bread is salt bread. It was warm, soft and moist.

White ragu gnocchi

The first dish ready was the white ragu gnocchi (₩21,000)! Gnocchi (potato dumplings) has a chewy texture that's so appealing, so I always end up trying it at Western restaurants. It has a different charm from regular pasta, so it's a good pick when you want something a bit different. If you feel pasta alone is a bit of a shame, I recommend ordering gnocchi too.

Beef tomato pasta

I also ordered the beef tomato pasta (₩20,000), an easy, safe choice. Tomato-based pasta has that fresh tang that makes it easy to eat, right? Ordered alongside sauce-focused dishes like the gnocchi and risotto, it gave us a nice variety of flavors. If you visit in a group, ordering a different dish each and sharing sounds like a good idea.

What does the crab risotto at Eoneu Dal taste like?

The most memorable dish of this visit was the crab risotto (₩23,000). It isn't in the Naver menu introduction, so I didn't know about it, but it looked delicious at another table, so I ordered it~! Since it has crab in it, it's worth a look if you like seafood. Of everything we ate this time, the crab risotto stuck with me most, and it's a dish I'd want to order again next time.

The crab is huge and the meat is plump. Picking out the meat and eating it with the risotto goes together amazingly. The crab meat was also super soft and creamy.

The full spread,, !!! The look of it is just outrageous, right? A restaurant with a lovely mood, perfect for a date!

I finished the meal with a cola, and they brought a cute cup and ice with it, which was so adorable, haha.

How was Eoneu Dal as a date restaurant in Pocheon?

The two of us cleaned the plates in no time!,, haha. With its nice atmosphere and spacious interior, Eoneu Dal was perfect as a date course near Seoul. Good to keep in mind when you want pasta or risotto in Pocheon, or a meal with a bit of ambiance on a date. It's a place I'll think of again the next time I crave Western food in Pocheon!
