Whoa, that brick exterior alone is Instagram-famous these days! I went to Namyangju and somehow ended up in Switzerland... Waltz and Dr. Mahn is honestly one of the best-vibe cafés around right now!

Being this popular, Waltz and Dr. Mahn gets a lot of waiting, so booking remote waiting on Catch Table ahead of time is a must ✨🍀 I arrived with myself in 2nd place in line, so I walked along the Bukhan River out front while I waited haha. There's a nice walking trail right in front of the café, so it's great for a stroll after parking while you wait.

There's also a coffee museum right next to the café, but it was closed for the Chuseok holiday so I couldn't visit ㅠ

There's quite a lot of outdoor seating too, but it drizzled a bit that day so the outdoor seats weren't usable ㅠㅠ On a nice-weather day, having coffee outside in the river breeze would be so romantic 🧚🏻🍃

Inside Waltz and Dr. Mahn: antique interior and window seats over the Bukhan River

I didn't have to wait long before getting in, and the moment I stepped inside, the old-world atmosphere made me gasp. This antique interior is just so swoon-worthy … 🤍

It got even more Instagram-famous recently after a cast member from a dating show visited — and yep, the interior is exactly like the photos ..!! Not a disappointment at all 🤎

These days with the cool autumn weather, they had the folding doors wide open, which made it even better 〰️🖤 Total outdoor-seating vibes.

I couldn't resist and grabbed a window seat — the antique sofa interior was so luxurious and pretty, but the window seat looking outside had such great atmosphere too.

The view from the window table looks straight out onto the Bukhan River — a totally wide-open view, so good.

And if you head the other way, there's an inner room-like space too, which was also cozy with a river view looking down — total vibe-restaurant status confirmed!

Friday evening concerts and the table setting

Waltz and Dr. Mahn runs Friday concerts — apparently on 10/30 (Fri) at 8pm there's an Ensemble Mubis performance in the Dr. Mahn Concert Hall! If you're interested, save this-🍃🎶

Basically they give everyone water in wine glasses per person, and even the glasses were pretty ..ㅎ_ㅎ

What we ordered: Yogurt Delight Blueberry and two drip coffees

I ordered Yogurt Delight Blueberry (₩16,000), Mexico Altura (₩14,000), and Colombia Supremo (₩14,000) — they came in all different glasses too, so it was fun just looking at the cups haha.

The Yogurt Delight is a yogurt ice cream base with blueberries, syrup, and assorted nuts — such a can't-miss combo! Totally my style .. 💜

And I was thinking about which coffee has no sourness, so I ordered the two above! *Coffee can be chosen mild, medium, or strong.

I ordered the Mexico Altura beans iced, on strong (since the ice melts and weakens it). The aftertaste was really clean with a slight hint of acidity. Still, it was exactly my taste! Delicious.

For the Colombia Supremo, I went with medium strength. True to being one of the most popular and beloved coffees worldwide, it had a clean taste where all the flavor elements were in harmony rather than any single note standing out too much-!
