Where is Yard, the autumn cosmos café in Gyeongju?

Yard is a café in Gyeongju's Bomun-danji area at 2 Cheongun 2-gil, Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, South Korea, right along the main road by Gyeongju World. If you're planning an autumn trip to Gyeongju, this café fits the season perfectly — cosmos flowers were blooming in full out front, so I really got that autumn feeling. It was even better being able to drink coffee and admire pretty flowers in such a green space, so let me share my review of Yard.

Yard is close to Gyeongju World, sitting right along the main road, so it's an easy stop if you're visiting Bomun-danji for a family outing — a good spot to drop by during a Gyeongju trip.

Until when can you see the cosmos field at Yard?

The cosmos in front of Yard are said to be viewable until late October. Worth keeping in mind if you're planning an autumn trip to Gyeongju.

Above all, the cosmos field spread out in front of the café was really pretty. After parking in the lot next to the café and getting out of the car, this cosmos field was the very first thing I saw. Watching the cosmos sway gently in the autumn breeze, it really hit me that fall had arrived.

What is the inside of Yard café like?

Yard is a fairly large café, with spacious seating not just on the 1st floor but the 2nd floor too.

The whole place felt green and lush, so from the moment I stepped in it had a fresh, verdant feel.

Thanks to the wide open space, it was easy to relax and take my time, and I could feel that blend with nature in every corner.

Especially the way the autumn cosmos mixed with all the fresh green made that particular seasonal mood feel even prettier.

It was a nice spot to rest for a bit over a cup of coffee, and also a spot I liked for taking photos.

How do Yard's iced americano and peach ade taste?

On this visit I ordered an iced americano and a peach ade at Yard. The iced americano had more nuttiness than sourness, while the peach ade had a fairly strong peach aroma and sweetness.

The iced americano was nice for a light sip while enjoying the autumn sunlight.

Peach ade: rich aroma and strong sweetness

The peach ade had a stronger peach aroma than I expected. As soon as I took a sip, a sweet peach scent spread through my mouth. It was also fairly sweet, so it should suit anyone who likes sweet fruit drinks.

Personally the peach aroma and sweetness felt a bit strong to me, but if you're looking for a refreshing fruit drink, it's worth trying.

Iced americano: nutty rather than acidic

Yard's iced americano had more nuttiness than sourness. Since I personally like nutty beans, I enjoyed the iced americano.

Besides coffee and ade, Yard also has a brunch menu, so it seems like a good place to visit for a simple meal too.

Is Yard's cosmos field good for autumn photos?

What I liked most about this visit to Yard was, again, the cosmos field spread out in front. Since it's a scene you can only meet in autumn, it felt even more special — taking photos against the fully bloomed cosmos gave off plenty of autumn mood without needing any props.

Walking through the flower field for photos, then relaxing with coffee at the café, felt like a proper healing moment.

With the spacious interior and fresh atmosphere added on top, it was a place I wanted to linger in. If you're looking for a café to see autumn flowers in Gyeongju, I hope you'll visit Yard :) Especially if you go before late October while the cosmos are still in bloom, you can take pretty photos that suit the season and enjoy a relaxed time.
