Truffle gnocchi for mushroom haters at a Yangsan brunch spot: Bueokgan

Wait, is there a Bueokgan at Yangsan Oslo Park?

Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch is a Western-style restaurant located at 2710-1 Beomeo-ri, Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam, inside Yangsan Oslo Park. Hours are 11:00 - 21:00, with a break time only on weekdays from 15:00 - 16:30, 2 hours of free parking, and it's a Yes Kids Zone.

My husband and I brought the baby and ended up near Yangsan Busan University Hospital, so we took a spontaneous detour to Yangsan Oslo Park haha. It had been ages since I'd been there... and it's changed a lot! There's now a kids' play area, baby clothing shops, and quite a few restaurants 🤭

I remembered a friend raving about Bueokgan, and since there was one right here at Yangsan Oslo Park, I had to check it out. It's on the first floor of Oslo Park and pretty spacious. Among moms, it's well known as a brunch spot near Yangsan Busan University Hospital 😋

Definitely check the hours first! The break time is only on weekdays~

Nearly full on a weekday lunch — what's the vibe inside?

Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch was almost completely full even on a weekday lunch. Busy despite it being a weekday 🧐🍴 We ended up seated near the entrance 🥹

Taking a quick look around inside, the interior was well done and the space quite large, so it'd work fine for a bigger group too~ I should host a get-together here next time 💫

The little props and furniture scattered around were so my style haha. Lots of vintage furniture. While waiting for the food, I ended up browsing the furniture too lol. And the moment we walked in, it smelled amazing 😋

This spot is perfect for groups, right? haha The street view out the window was so pretty, a peaceful weekday lunch indeed 🥰🌿

Is it okay to bring a baby?

Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch has a high chair set up like this. No stress bringing a baby along, and as soon as the owner saw we had a baby with us, they immediately brought out dishware, a water cup, and spoons! 🩵 Such kind service, loved it.

What we ordered

• Shrimp anchovy oil pasta
• Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi

We'd had a filling breakfast beforehand, so we only ordered two dishes — but there were plenty of other things I wanted to try next time. If we come back with the baby, I want to try the soup too! (Couldn't order it this time since the baby was napping when we ordered..)

I remembered a friend saying Bueokgan's gnocchi is delicious, so I ordered that too 🤘🏻 Ah... if we hadn't skipped breakfast we'd probably have ordered pizza as well. Ah well, next time...

Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi

🥔Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi🍄 I'm someone who normally doesn't eat mushrooms, but this gnocchi makes you want to eat mushrooms... The cream sauce was just so good 😇 I get why my friend recommended it!

The sauce was pooled thin at the bottom, so it was great for scooping up along with the potato and mushroom. The potato was so soft I wanted to eat it endlessly!! Gnocchi is really a one-plate-per-person kind of dish — the taste keeps coming back to me.

Shrimp anchovy oil pasta

🍤Shrimp anchovy oil pasta🍝 An anchovy oil pasta loaded with king shrimp. There were quite a lot of plump shrimp, so it was good to share with the baby too~ The noodles were cooked just right, so we enjoyed it a lot haha. Since the gnocchi was creamy, this one paired well being oil-based rather than tomato-based! I cut it up small for Ppomi and she ate it well too lol.

Ppomi, let's eat together~ Ppomi neatly ate even the mushrooms I can't handle well lol. Left feeling full and satisfied haha. There were still so many menu items I wanted to try, so a bit of regret means I'll have to visit again! Confirmed: a solid brunch spot near Yangsan Busan University Hospital.
