PC café near Gireum Station for a non-gamer's heatwave escape: ZERO100

It's been so hot lately that I wanted to go somewhere cool and just rest, haha. Cafés make you feel awkward if you stay too long, and staying home is boring, so I went looking and ended up at ZERO100 PC Gireum.

Honestly, I don't play games, so PC cafés never felt familiar to me, but after this visit I totally get why people go, hahaha. Now when I think of the best PC café near Gireum Station, ZERO100 PC Gireum is the first that comes to mind, haha.

Where is ZERO100 PC Gireum, and what is it like inside?

ZERO100 PC Gireum is really close to Exit 4 of Gireum Station, so I barely had to walk in the heat. Going down to the basement, it was much bigger and cooler than I expected, and the moment I walked in I thought, ahh... I'm saved... hahaha.

The seats are roomy and the chairs are super comfy, so just sitting there felt healing. PC cafés these days are completely different from the old ones. It's clean and pleasant, a place where even non-gamers can rest without any pressure.

What can non-gamers do at a PC café?

As soon as I sat down at ZERO100 PC Gireum, I turned on Netflix. I started Dora-iver, which I'd been putting off for ages, and the time just flew by... haha.

Leaning back in a cool space with the air conditioning blasting, watching Netflix, I even forgot about the heatwave outside. And honestly, the main event of the day wasn't gaming, it was the food, hahaha.

How was the icy naengmyeon set (₩7,900)?

The first thing I ordered at ZERO100 PC Gireum was the icy naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) set with mul-bibim naengmyeon and steamed dumplings (₩7,900)! True to the name, ice floated in the broth, and it looked refreshing just to see. On a day like this, that's the best!

It felt like a good mix of the best parts of mul naengmyeon (in broth) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed). Sweet and tangy, with springy noodles that kept going down.

The steamed dumplings that came with it were packed with filling and piping hot, and eating them with the naengmyeon was a really good combo, haha.

I added extra danmuji (pickled radish, ₩200) and then downed a Pepsi Zero (₩2,000), so satisfaction was at max from the start! haha

Eating naengmyeon while watching Netflix was so comfortable, more than at home, honestly? haha. But you know I wasn't going to stop there, haha.

Butter-grilled squid and desserts: what snacks are on the menu?

After resting a while I suddenly craved a snack, so I ordered the butter-grilled squid (₩10,000) too! Eating squid piece by piece while watching Dora-iver felt kind of like being at a movie theater, hahaha.

Then my mouth got bored again, so on to dessert... haha.

I ordered these three extra!

The Jeju matcha latte was sweet with a strong matcha aroma, which went well with the desserts, and when I bit into the sweet potato cheese ball, the cheese and the sweetness of the sweet potato inside went nicely together.

The Custard Deli Manju is that Deli Manju we all know! haha. It made a nice palate cleanser.

So from naengmyeon to snacks to dessert, I ended up doing a full mukbang, hahaha.

Can you stay for hours alone without feeling awkward?

PC cafés these days really feel like a restaurant and a café combined! Even a non-gamer like me spent several hours at ZERO100 PC Gireum, resting really comfortably, haha.

When I had time to kill I used to go to cafés, but with a setup like this, coming to a PC café works too, haha. It's not awkward alone, and the chairs are comfy, haha. At cafés you sometimes feel self-conscious if you stay long, but there's no such pressure here. It's cool, comfortable, and has lots of food, so it's a great place to pass time.

The smoking room is well kept too, so smokers can use it comfortably, haha.

There are so many kinds of food that meals, snacks and drinks are all covered, so I never had to go anywhere else. This time I really felt that even a non-gamer like me can be fully satisfied here.

Would I go back to ZERO100 PC Gireum?

When it's hot, or when I want to rest alone, I think I'll come to ZERO100 PC Gireum often. Putting on Netflix and ordering tasty food while relaxing, I wondered if resting could really be this happy, haha.
