Day-two brunch in Sokcho at Gagas Pizza

On the second day of our Sokcho trip, we had a late breakfast-lunch at Gagas Pizza (가가스피자) on Saemaeul-gil near Sokcho Beach. Nobody doesn't like pizza, right? haha There's a super stylish pizza place by the beach, so I finally went.

Gagas Pizza is at 10 Saemaeul 9-gil, Sokcho-si, Gangwon. It's open Sun–Thu 11:00–22:00 and Fri–Sat 11:00–23:00 (the original says 토-일), and closed on Tuesdays. For parking, use Sokcho Beach Public Parking Lot No. 3 or the temporary lot.

It's near the beach so it was easy to get to by car, and there are lots of hotels and sights nearby. I went at lunch, but!! I bet it'd be great for dinner too haha

What do the exterior and outdoor seats look like?

Gagas Pizza takes up a whole white building. The exterior isn't flashy, but it's a cute white building 🤍 It looked really clean, like it hadn't been open long! The sign is easy to spot too, so you know right away: this is the place.

It was midday and the sun was blazing, so we didn't eat outside, but after sunset or in spring and fall I bet eating out here would be really nice!! Outdoor-pub vibes haha

Gagas Pizza slice prices and menu

Gagas Pizza sells 18-inch pizzas by the slice, from ₩4,000 for cheese up to ₩6,500 for the Super Combo. The moment we walked in, the pizzas were right there on display!! The price per slice is cheap so it's no burden, and you can buy a whole pie too!

What did the two of us order?

An 18-inch pie is big, so a whole one for two people seemed like too much... lol so we ordered 4 slices! Pizza and beer is a big thing these days, maybe that's why there's beer, wine and whiskey, all in different kinds!

The second-floor window view

At Gagas Pizza the counter is on the 1st floor and the dining room is on the 2nd, and the big windows look out over the Saemaeul-gil neighborhood in Sokcho. We ordered and headed upstairs, and the view just opened up. Wow... a pizza place with a view this pretty?? The neighborhood view through the windows was so lovely. We were busy taking photos and messing around when the food came out faster than I expected!

Every table has hot sauce, parmesan cheese, and... um, something like chili flakes you can sprinkle on! haha

How were the slices at Gagas Pizza?

The slices at Gagas Pizza have generous toppings and a just-right dough thickness, so I never got tired of them to the last bite. Ta-da ✨ the look of it is no joke... generous toppings, and since it came fresh out of the oven the cheese stretched out so nicely, yum yum

The dough was neither too thick nor too thin, so it was easy to eat!! What I liked most was the balance between cheese and toppings...🤤 Maybe because I picked the safe options, the overall flavor felt harmonious.

When I eat pizza, the toppings are often too much or too greasy and I get sick of it fast, but Gagas Pizza wasn't like that!! I enjoyed it to the end, and my stomach felt fine afterward too!!

Does the bolognese pasta go with the pizza?

The bolognese pasta at Gagas Pizza has lots of meat in it, like meatballs, so it went really well with the pizza haha Personally I think a cream pasta would be nice to have too 💗

Who should you bring to Gagas Pizza?

With its pretty view and vibe, Gagas Pizza is good for a date, and just right for coming with family or friends too. The owners were very kind, and the counter and tables are separate, so we ate comfortably in a relaxed atmosphere ♪(^∇^*)

I was so happy with this Sokcho pizza spot, Gagas Pizza! If you're looking for good pizza in Sokcho, Gagas Pizza is the one haha If I come again, I'd like to visit in the evening and have a beer at the outdoor seats 👍 If you can't decide what to eat in Sokcho, I think Gagas Pizza is a pretty good choice too!!
