A pizzeria we found while playing at Sokcho Beach

My husband and I were hanging out near Sokcho Beach and went to Gagas Pizza for a lunch that was also dinner. Whenever we travel to Sokcho, we always look up where to eat first~ This time too, we searched around and found Gagas Pizza. It's already well known as a great Sokcho pizza place and there were lots of reviews, so we went with high hopes.

We took photos and wandered around the beach, and before we knew it we were hungry, so we headed over for our lunch-slash-dinner~ We wanted something light but still filling on the trip, and pizza was just right.

Parking at Gagas Pizza: is there a dedicated lot?

Gagas Pizza has no dedicated parking lot, so keep that in mind if you're driving! We chose between a nearby public lot and street parking, and ended up parking on the street nearby.

Gagas Pizza is close to Sokcho Beach, so it was easy to drop by during our trip. We came from the beach side, and it looked like an easy walk too. Sokcho gets a lot of tourists, so it'd be more comfortable to think about where to park in advance.

How to order at Gagas Pizza and choosing a menu

At Gagas Pizza you order first on the 1st floor. Some people were taking food to go and others were eating in. Since we were on a trip, we wanted to eat while it was hot, so we ordered to eat in. Looking over the menu, we picked pepperoni, the most basic one and a favorite of ours! When you're traveling, a no-fail choice is the best, I think.

You can buy Gagas Pizza by the slice, or order a whole pie like we did. We debated between cheese and Margherita, but went with pepperoni, the one the two of us like best!!

The other pizzas are available by the slice too, and the combination looked delicious and the Margherita had its own charm, you know?!

Gagas Pizza atmosphere and 2nd-floor seating

Gagas Pizza is a standalone building with a 1st and 2nd floor, so it felt a little more relaxed than an ordinary pizza place. When we arrived, the atmosphere was nicer than I expected. The exterior was clean and the inside was tidy, so it looked like a good spot for a meal on a trip.

We decided to eat in and went up to a 2nd-floor seat after ordering~ It has a vibe that people looking for a stylish Sokcho eatery would love!! It's wide open and the view is great, too!

There was a self-corner on the 2nd floor of Gagas Pizza. You can take pickles, napkins, utensils and so on as much as you need, which was handy.

Every table also had Parmesan cheese, so it was easy to sprinkle on the pizza. While we waited, we looked around and passed the time comfortably. The space is bigger than I expected, so we could eat at our leisure~

Gagas Pizza's whole pepperoni pizza: how did it taste?

The pepperoni pizza at Gagas Pizza came out warm about 10–15 minutes after we ordered. We didn't wait long, and it looked so appetizing the moment it arrived that our expectations went up. The whole pie was quite big too, enough for two. I got a little curious about why it's called a Sokcho pizza hotspot.

The best part was the texture of the crust. The edge was crisp and the inside wasn't too heavy, so it was easy to keep eating. Even though it's a pepperoni pizza, it wasn't too salty and the balance was good!! The cheese and toppings went well together, and slice by slice, the whole pie was gone..!! My husband looked at the quality of the pizza and said it was better than he expected, and he was happy with it.

Why my big-eater husband nearly finished the whole pie

Actually, my husband usually doesn't say he's full after a whole pizza. (If it's a thick pizza, he gets full... the dignity of a big eater.) This time he said it was delicious and kept eating~ In the end we nearly finished the whole pepperoni pie and both of us left full.

When you eat on a trip, the atmosphere matters, but so does the taste, and we were happy with both! A hearty meal sorted during our Sokcho trip!!

Is Gagas Pizza a good Sokcho date spot?

Gagas Pizza is a place you can drop into naturally while playing around Sokcho Beach, so I think it works as a date course too. We went together as a couple, and the atmosphere was comfortable and the food was satisfying~ I think it suits people who want pizza they can enjoy easily rather than a too-heavy meal! Taking photos, wandering around, and then a tasty meal on top of that.. I'm so happy with this Sokcho trip..!!

We visited Gagas Pizza while looking for somewhere to eat near Sokcho Beach!! Warm pizza in a clean space..! Thanks to the crisp crust and an easygoing flavor, my husband and I had a satisfying meal.
