Heatwave escape at a Jamsil Nintendo café: Bburinkle skewers, One Play
In short
One Play Jamsil Branch is an indoor play café in Songpa, Seoul, near Exit 9 of Sports Complex Station, with manga, board games, Nintendo and OTT rooms in one place. To escape the summer heat, the writer and their son played in Nintendo room 17 on the 3rd floor, ordered an extra Bburinkle sotteok-sotteok (cheese-powder sausage and rice cake skewer) and lost 2–3 hours in no time. Apart from the steep stairs and the lack of a fan in the OTT room, One Play Jamsil Branch is a satisfying indoor summer outing.

Amusement parks are hot, cafés are awkward to stay in for long, and sometimes a movie bores kids quickly.
So I often agonize over where to go with my kid on weekends.. T_T While looking around, I found One Play Jamsil Branch (원플레이 잠실점). Honestly, at first I thought, "Probably just another manga café~" but after visiting, it was totally not! I strongly recommend it as a Jamsil manga café worth visiting, haha
2nd-floor counter, manga room, 3rd-floor OTT rooms
With Nintendo, board games and manga, there was so much to enjoy that 3 hours with my son flew by~
Above all, I was really satisfied with the time we spent laughing and chatting together, so today I'm leaving an honest review.
One Play Jamsil Branch: location and parking
A place I was curious about even before going in! This is One Play Jamsil Branch. It's at 20 Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, 2nd and 3rd floors, 454m from Exit 9 of Sports Complex Station (Lines 2 and 9). It's open daily 10:00–24:00.
Parking is possible but paid: ₩6,000 for the first 60 minutes, ₩3,000 per additional 10 minutes, up to ₩99,999. They said you can use the Asia Park parking lot, a 5-minute walk away~ (for reference, it's ₩250 per 5 minutes)
I thought it was a manga café, but there's far more to do
Honestly, at first I figured, "A manga café will be all the same~" but the result was completely different.

- Thousands of manga volumes and the latest webtoons
- Hundreds of popular board games
- Console games including Nintendo and PlayStation
- Full OTT access including Netflix and Disney+
One of the best places I've ever been!
It was so affordable, so it was a really great day.
Entry with slippers and an NFC tag
Before entering, you have to change into slippers.
When we arrived, we first stored our shoes, changed into slippers and went up to the 3rd floor~
Thanks to that, the inside felt neatly kept and comfortable for users. It's a small thing, but little touches like this raise my satisfaction!! Unlike my own home, which isn't exactly comfortable haha
Easy use with a single NFC tag
When we entered, they gave us an NFC acrylic tag, and entry and usage time are both managed with this one tag, which was more convenient than I expected. The guidance is clear, so even first-timers can use it without trouble~
My son picked Nintendo without a second thought 😂
The moment we walked in, my son said without hesitation, "I want to play Nintendo!"

In the end I started playing with him, and as we laughed and talked while playing, time really flew by T_T This time we played something other than Mario, and it was a different kind of fun from playing alone~~ I think it's one of the most satisfying spaces if you visit with a child!!

Later I charged my phone at the outlet behind that TV
Manga and board games beyond expectations
The 2nd floor of One Play isn't just a place to read manga. There were the latest manga and webtoon volumes, and you can even eat while reading.
It's good for friends and looked fine as an indoor date spot for couples. Maybe that's why I saw lots of families too.

Check your Nintendo room number before going in
The 3rd-floor OTT area at One Play was great too.
If you want to play Nintendo, each console has a number on it. We first went into room 21, but the Nintendo said room 17, so we moved right away!

Good to know before you go!
The food was better than I expected
Honestly, I didn't expect much from the food~ I was thinking "just fill our stomachs," but the sotteok-sotteok (sausage and rice cake skewers) and drinks were better than expected.....? It's not on the level of a specialist restaurant, but it was plenty satisfying to eat while gaming and resting.

My son and I ordered two, then it was so good we ordered more.... No wait, why is the Pburinkle sotteok-sotteok so addictive? It's the best, the best~~
What I felt after using it myself
- Affordable price
- Great space to enjoy with kids
- Nintendo, manga and board games all in one place
- Clean facilities that are well maintained
- A good indoor spot on rainy or sweltering days
I figured it must get really crowded on weekdays and weekends, but that's not a drawback, it's only natural,

Drawbacks: steep stairs and no fan
We went into Nintendo room 17, and the stairs up were very steep. I wished they had tilted the stairs a bit less. And I wished there were a fan inside T_T After walking outside, my body was literally melting, and the OTT room had no fan T_T sob sob sob Bringing a personal fan is a must!
Also, there's so much to do that 1–2 hours pass in a flash... Time flying by is a real downside.. To enjoy it leisurely, I recommend allowing a bit more time. And since it's school vacation, just go early on a weekday~

Thoughts after using it as a heatwave refuge
Thanks to the sweltering weather, this visit was a great chance to discover a new place.
Above all, what I liked most was being able to spend a relaxed time with my son, playing games, reading manga and eating snacks~

If you're looking for an indoor date in Jamsil, a Jamsil manga café, or a Jamsil Nintendo or board game café, and you live nearby or are passing through, I really recommend visiting! Next time I want to properly enjoy the board games. What would you try first at One Play?
