In short

Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch is a Japanese omakase restaurant on the 1st floor of Hoban Summit Place in Pangyo, Seongnam, serving its 8-course fall menu, 'Threading Time' (시간을 꿰다), since October 1. The writer took Mom to the first dinner seating, added uni to the mussel-sauce perilla oil noodles and truffle to the aged hanwoo (Korean beef) steak, and paired the meal with a non-alcoholic Kkweda mojito. Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch delivered on both atmosphere and flavor for a dinner with parents or an anniversary, and the writer plans to return.

Today I'm bringing you my visit to Kkweda (꿰다), a Japanese omakase spot in Pangyo that's perfect for anniversaries, where I had the fall course! Built around the concept 'Kkweda Time' (시간을 꿰다), the fall course has 8 dishes made with seasonal ingredients. I had a lovely time eating a delicious course made with real care in a refined, stylish setting~ Okay, let me get into the details ✨

Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch: location, hours and parking

Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch (꿰다 판교아브뉴프랑점) is at 25 Dongpangyo-ro 177beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, South Korea, on the first floor of Hoban Summit Place, Unit 143. It's open daily 11:30–21:30 with a break from 14:00 to 17:00, and parking is free for 3 hours at the Avenue France parking lot.

Let me start with the parking info! If you're driving, park in the Avenue France lot and head up to the first floor.

Dinner first seating hours and reservations at Kkweda

The first dinner seating at Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch runs 17:00–18:45, and reservations are required. I went to the first seating.

Ta-da! We've arrived at Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch! The exterior looked really upscale and stylish! There was also a description of the seasonal course we'd be eating, which I loved. Preparation matters in life, right? Haha~

Seating and atmosphere at Kkweda

Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch has bar seating, regular table seating and private rooms. Inside, the even neater, more stylish interior design caught my eye. There were guests in the private room at the time, so I couldn't take photos, but I thought it would be good for gatherings, business meetings or company dinners.

Another thing that impressed me! You can store your belongings neatly at the back like this at Kkweda! It let me put my bag away comfortably. You can feel they've paid attention to even the small details!

Then we sat down at the seats we were shown to. The tableware was all elegant and pretty! I almost wanted to buy the same pieces~ By the way, at Kkweda you have to order one alcoholic drink per person.

One drink per person: the non-alcoholic Kkweda mojito if you don't drink

Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch requires one alcoholic drink per person, but there are non-alcoholic options too, so I ordered the non-alcoholic Kkweda mojito. It was fresh, sweet and rich, and really good. I had a non-alcoholic drink this time, but they have plenty of other drinks, so next time I'd like to try the wine.

Sitting at the neatly arranged bar table, I could also see the chefs preparing the food with care. Watching the process myself, I could feel the care and effort, which made it even better.

Kkweda fall season course menu

The 'Kkweda Time' fall season course at Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch started on October 1 and has 8 dishes in total.

  • Fall salad
  • Salt-aged flatfish carpaccio
  • Romesco polpo (octopus)
  • Mussel-sauce perilla oil noodles
  • Béchamel and bolognese
  • Aged hanwoo (Korean beef) steak
  • Black cod pot rice
  • Dessert

You can also add uni (sea urchin) and truffle to certain dishes, depending on your taste. Hanwoo uni maki and a hanwoo cheeseburger can be added à la carte too. Now let me show you the fall course in detail!

1. Fall salad

The first dish was the fall salad. The fresh figs caught my eye first, and I liked feeling the fall ingredients. The combination of apple pickled in wine vinegar and figs was great, light, fresh and sweet. Delicious!

2. Salt-aged flatfish carpaccio

Salt-aged flatfish carpaccio! The plating alone was unique and caught my eye~ They explained that minced anchovy and shallots go on top of the aged flatfish! One bite and the aged raw flatfish, the aroma of the oil, and the anchovy and shallot came together with full flavor! The texture, aroma and taste were all great.

3. Romesco polpo

I really love octopus polpo dishes~ I first had it in Portugal a long time ago, and I remember being amazed at how tender it was from the very first bite~ The romesco polpo I had at Kkweda that day was really, really delicious too! Tender octopus, the potatoes and cabbage served with it, and a sauce that goes well with everything! So good!!

4. Mussel-sauce perilla oil noodles: is adding uni worth it?

A bite of perilla oil noodles mixed with uni

The mussel-sauce perilla oil noodles (홍합장 들기름면) paired nutty perilla oil noodles with mussel sauce, and since I love sea urchin roe, I added uni! I'm so glad I did~ The flavor of the sea filled my mouth and blended well with the mussel sauce and gamtae (seaweed)! The shrimp was fresh with a great texture, too! They told us the uni can be eaten on its own or mixed in. It was nutty and full of ocean flavor at the same time, which I loved.

5. Béchamel and bolognese

Béchamel and bolognese! They explained that you break it up and eat it with the sauce! The flavor of Grana Padano cheese hits you right away, and the combination was great and delicious! The crispy texture and the tasty sauce together made it a hit~

6. Aged hanwoo steak with truffle added

The aged hanwoo steak came with sauce, broccoli and mashed potatoes, and I added truffle. First wow at the delicious-looking presentation! Second wow after the first bite, for the taste and aroma! The steak was cooked so well it melted in my mouth! Tender and really delicious. Eaten with the truffle, the flavor was incredible~ I'd add truffle again next time!

The pairing with mashed potatoes was great too. And the broccoli garnish: how on earth did they cook it like this?! It was so good that I kept thinking about it!

7. Black cod pot rice

Black cod pot rice! They show it to you first like this, then mix it all up neatly before serving! They explained that the black cod is grilled over gentle charcoal. I was so curious how it would taste, and it was soft, clean, nutty! Subtle flavor and really delicious. It went well with the pickled radish I ate in between, too.

8. Dessert: chestnut walnut ice cream

The ending matters in everything, right? I usually love dessert, so I was really curious what would come out. It was chestnut walnut ice cream, with seasonal ingredients you can really taste! One bite and the sweet chestnut flavor blended with the soft ice cream, and it tasted great and put me in a good mood. The chocolate-coated walnuts were great in both taste and texture, too, a joy in my mouth.

Is Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch good for taking parents?

I took Mom to Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch for dinner, and both the mood and the food were good, so it was a satisfying place for a meal with parents. That wrapped up a delicious fall dinner course, and tasting a course made with such care from seasonal ingredients was a treat for the eyes and mouth. I think it's a good place for anniversaries or whenever you want a nice meal in a lovely setting. Since I was so happy with dinner that day, I plan to visit again~
