Wangsimni traditional liquor bar, monkfish liver yukhoe: Ari Gyegok
Ari Gyegok Wangsimni Hanyang University Branch is a traditional liquor bar in Seongdong, Seoul, a 4-minute walk from Wangsimni Station and about 5 minutes from Hanyang University Station. On a weekday evening the order was nurungji agan yukhoe (crispy scorched rice with monkfish liver and raw beef) and a bubbling cheese potato pancake, paired with a highball and traditional liquor, and the soft beef, rich monkfish liver and crunchy rice made an unusually fresh combination. Ari Gyegok is a good Wangsimni bar for nights when the usual soju and beer feels old.
