Paju café with a cheese butter bar and warm salt bread: On the Rail
In short
On the Rail is a large bakery café on Imjingak-ro in Munsan, Paju, open from 11am to 2am. After a full day at Imjingak, the writer stopped by as a last course and ordered a butter bar for 4,500 won, salt bread for 3,800 won, an einspänner for 7,500 won and a caramel macchiato for 7,000 won, warming the salt bread for 30 seconds so the crust turned crispy. On the Rail, a big bakery café in Munsan, Paju open until 2am
This is On the Rail, a large bakery café in Paju with a pretty view, open late into the night. 🚙 It's within 10 minutes on foot from Imjingang Station. I imagine a lot of people come by car — the parking lot is huge so you can park comfortably! ⏰ It's a Paju late-night café open from 11am all the way to 2am!!

There were seats outside on the terrace too. On a nice spring or autumn day, enjoying coffee and delicious bread on the terrace would be pure happiness!? Plus the view out front has a forest feel, so it's really pretty.

The train tracks and vintage car photo zone at On the Rail
On the Rail has train tracks too, so you can get some pretty life shots there. There's also an old car you can pose with! I visited during the day, but I bet it looks even prettier once the lights come on!!!

The roads you pass on the way to Imjingak... you can have a dopamine-rush kind of fun. The unmapped roads I tried to find to defect to North Korea turned out to be private land or a military base.... lol. Defection failed. Guess I have to just live in reality after all...? T_T Save me.

Huge respect to everyone at LG Display. ❤️ After playing around like that, the last stop for a good rest was this Paju late-night café with a pretty view — On the Rail!!! I feel like I picked a great last café.

Inside On the Rail: group tables and the self-service corner
The inside of On the Rail felt open and had a lot of seating for groups. It's a Paju late-night café running from 11am all the way to 2am...!

On one side there were scissors for cutting up bread along with a microwave for warming it.

It's a large Paju bakery café that also sells all sorts of bread. And honestly, no exaggeration, the bread is so good you could call this a proper bread spot.

Salt bread, baguettes, kaya butter bread, morning rolls — quite the variety.

Since it's a Paju late-night café open till 2am, you're not rushed by time and can just enjoy it. The best part is if you get hungry you can just order some bread and keep chatting freely and comfortably!!!

There were also all kinds of slice cakes in the fridge case ~.~ I filmed a little video of the bakery selection at this Paju late-night café with the pretty view, On the Rail. It feels handmade so watch closely, everyone.

On the Rail's menu and the 20,000 won autumn fire pit
This is the menu board at this Paju late-night café with the pretty view, On the Rail. In autumn you can enjoy an outdoor fire pit too!!! It's available from 8pm, and for a good price of ₩20,000 you get firewood, marshmallows, and aurora powder — I want to come back in autumn and sit by the fire!!!

What we ordered at On the Rail: einspänner, salt bread, cheese butter bar
I ordered a butter bar for ₩4,500, a salt bread for ₩3,800, an einspänner for ₩7,500, and a caramel macchiato for ₩7,000. The einspänner came out so pretty I would have regretted it if I hadn't ordered it....!!

This is the one with the chewy cream, with 'On the Rail' written on it — such a pretty coffee.... The look was gorgeous and the taste didn't disappoint either!!

The cream is slightly sweet but has this really chewy, thick texture. Most of all, I was surprised how nutty the coffee itself tasted!!! Now I'm curious about their Americano too~~ Next time I'll have to order that~~~

Why you should warm On the Rail's salt bread for 30 seconds
So glossy, with a crispy crust — I really loved this salt bread, it was so good it deserves 'best salt bread' status!! For the salt bread specifically, make sure you warm it for 30 seconds before eating.

I couldn't let the butter go to waste — out of love for it, I scraped every last bit off the parchment paper.... lol

On top of that, even my friend who normally dislikes butter bars said this cheese butter bar was delicious, calling it thick and chewy. The top and bottom layers are chewy while the middle is filled with cheese that melts in your mouth!
