Frozen pork belly BBQ in Seongbuk: mixed platter at Jangheungjip

Jangheungjip Seongshin Women's University branch is a frozen samgyeopsal (pork belly) restaurant near Seongshin Women's University Station in Seongbuk, Seoul. On a Sunday evening, two diners ordered the medium mixed platter for ₩54,000 and grilled beef brisket, quick-frozen pork belly and pork neck in that order, then finished with beef brisket doenjang stew, kimchi noodle soup and fried rice. Jangheungjip won over a committed fresh-pork fan and is worth a return visit.

Seoul Korean BBQ with private rooms in Seongsu: Marblejeong

Marblejeong is a Korean beef grill restaurant in Seongsu, Seoul, near Exit 5 of Ttukseom Station, with a 56-seat hall plus small private rooms for 4, 5 or 8 and large rooms for 16 or 20. Two of us shared the 1++ Korean beef mixed grill, 400g for 159,000 won, served as sirloin, chuck flap and brisket, then ordered both cold noodles for dessert at 7,000 won each, and the mul-naengmyeon (cold noodle soup) won by a landslide. Between the staff grilling every cut at the table and the dedicated free parking lot, Marblejeong suits family gatherings and work dinners in Seongsu.
