Today I visited Low Five Anguk, a great spot for a date between the Bukchon and Ikseon-dong alleys.

I usually love Western food and often hang out with friends in Ikseon-dong, so when I heard this place in Bukchon was famous for pizza and lasagna — always with a wait — I had to check it out.
Low Five Anguk: a stylish Western restaurant 5 minutes from Anguk Station
Low Five Anguk is about a 5-minute walk from Anguk Station on Line 3, which was really convenient. There's plenty to see nearby too, so it's a great stop to pair with an Ikseon-dong date course.

The exterior alone gave off an exotic Western-restaurant vibe.

Inside, the soft lighting and interior felt really tasteful — great for a date, and good for hanging out with friends too.

The props and atmosphere inside made it feel like a garden restaurant in Europe. There were even high chairs, so I saw a foreign couple with a baby there!
How long is the wait at Low Five Anguk, and can you book on CatchTable?
Low Five Anguk has a wait not just on weekends but even during weekday lunch and dinner peak hours. Between nearby office workers' lunch gatherings and visitors to Anguk, there's often a queue. Let me share a reservation tip worth knowing before you go.
Honest review of three dishes: corn pizza, classic lasagna, avocado kimchi fried rice

🍴 Our order — Corn pizza / Classic lasagna / Avocado kimchi fried rice

Corn pizza on a white truffle cream base
The corn pizza is made with a white truffle cream base. I love truffle cream and often add it to my own cooking at home, so hearing it was homemade truffle sauce, there was no way I could skip it haha.
It was loaded with butter-seasoned grilled corn, chili shrimp, and bacon. The moment I took a bite, the distinct white truffle aroma filled my mouth and I was like, oh?!

The toppings popped with every bite, and paired so well with the truffle sauce that I happily ate all the way to the crust edge. I could see why every other table was eating this too haha. Next time a friend asks me for a good pizza place near Anguk Station, this is the one I'd recommend!

The limited classic lasagna, ordered on a weekday morning
One of the signature dishes here, the classic lasagna, is sold in a limited quantity each day. I heard that if you visit in the late afternoon or evening, it can already be sold out. I love lasagna so much that I really wanted to try it, so I went in the morning. Luckily, since it was a weekday, rushing there early meant I could still order the classic lasagna.
The lasagna came out freshly baked, and the staff kindly told us to let them know if it cooled down so they could reheat it. It was layered with rich tomato ragu sauce, smooth béchamel, and mozzarella cheese.

I could tell there was way more cheese than in lasagna I've had elsewhere! My friends who ate it with me also said the cheese and sauce were so generous it tasted amazing.

The outside had crispy cheese, while the ragu sauce kept the inside moist — this is a dish I definitely want to come back early for again!

Avocado kimchi fried rice, the dish that ties the meal together
Avocado kimchi fried rice was a great balance dish to eat alongside the other Western dishes. The spicy kimchi fried rice, loaded with bacon, came topped with soft scrambled eggs and sliced avocado.

The avocado was fresh, with pretty color and just the right ripeness, which made it taste even better. Switching between the cheesy pizza and lasagna and the spicy, savory fried rice reset my palate each time, so it was delicious. Everyone in our group agreed this combination was a great order. If you're going as two people, I think one pizza plus the kimchi fried rice is just right.
