Pangyo brunch restaurant: burrata basil short pasta at Andover

I'm a mom who loves going on restaurant tours. Today I headed to the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street in Pangyo with my younger sister for a tasty brunch, and we had lunch at Andover, a Pangyo brunch favorite.

Where is Andover in Pangyo, and what are its hours?

Andover is at 1F, 10-7 Pangyoyeok-ro 10beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, South Korea, right inside the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street in Pangyo. It's open daily from 11:30 to 22:00, with a break time from 15:30 to 17:00. Groups, takeout and reservations are all possible, and for parking you should ask the restaurant.

Even from far away the look of the place is so hip, the exterior just looked amazing. The entrance, with its stylishly arranged outdoor tables, was pretty enough to catch your eye from a distance.

What are the atmosphere and seating like inside Andover?

Inside, Andover feels wide open. Four-person tables are the standard, and 6- and 10-person tables are possible too. On a day like today, with a gentle autumn breeze, the mood and vibe just soar! The interior was hip yet nicely modern, really charming.

Is Andover corkage-free? How do you order?

Andover in Pangyo is corkage-free, so I thought it would be a great date spot. There was a QR code on the table for ordering, and bottled water was set out along with the cutlery.

The menu has signature noodle dishes plus lasagna, risotto, salads, pasta and fish dishes. We ordered quickly and easily from our phones with the QR code.

How is the peach pecan ricotta salad?

Of everything we ordered at Andover, the peach pecan ricotta salad came out first. It's built on arugula with fresh vegetables, and the portion was just right for two to share. So good, too.

I especially loved the peach and pecan combo, sweet and mellow at once, and it paired so charmingly with the soft, rich, mild ricotta cheese salad.

How was the fresh basil short pasta with burrata?

The second dish was the one I was most excited about, Andover's fresh basil short pasta~ The short pasta itself was so good!! The basil had a texture like house-made basil pesto, rustic yet soft, with a gentle basil aroma!!

I mixed the burrata cheese and basil pesto into the short pasta, took a big spoonful, and the unusual flavor was so satisfying~ Wow, wow~~ Putting the pasta on top of the crispy baguette that came with it was also seriously delicious!! Honestly just amazing~~

How does Andover's signature flounder steak & baguette taste?

The last dish we ordered was Andover's signature, the flounder steak & baguette. It came out as the final course, so the whole meal felt like a dining course. Such a tasty Pangyo brunch spot.

The flounder meat on the bottom was so springy and lightly savory, with a subtle smoky grill flavor, and eating it with the vegetables on top was wonderfully tasty!!

The flounder was soft yet springy and even chewy, how is it so good? It's been a long time since I was this satisfied by the anticipation of something different. Andover, a Pangyo brunch favorite!!👏👏
