Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch: a brunch café for kids and dogs
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is an Australian-vibe brunch café at 64 Millakbondong-ro 11beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan. It's open 08:00–18:00, has a high chair, and dogs are welcome too.
On a sweltering weekend morning I was wondering where to have a relaxed brunch with my kid, and ended up at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch (페이머스베니 광안리점). I went last time with a friend and loved it, and this time I thought it would be fine to bring my child, so this was my second visit. The Australian atmosphere was great and the food was satisfying too, so it was the perfect family weekend brunch spot!!! Let me show you around~
Where is Famous Benny Gwangalli, and what about parking?
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is close to Gwangalli Beach, so it's a nice spot for a stroll after your meal, but there's no parking support. It's a bit far from the subway station, but by bus it's easy to find since it's close to the Millak bus depot. If you drive, use a nearby public or private parking lot. Again, no parking is provided, so keep that in mind.

Inside Famous Benny: atmosphere and seating
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a standalone building with two floors. The moment you walk in, the spacious, stylish feel is appealing.

Natural light pouring through the big windows made the café bright and pleasant, and little touches like Sydney posters add to the stylish decor, so it's really good for taking photos.

Outdoor seats for strollers and dogs
Famous Benny Gwangalli also has outdoor seating. The area under the stairs blocks the sun, so unless it's really hot, eating outside is a good option. When I came before on a cooler day, I saw people with strollers and people with dogs sitting comfortably outside.

The busier 2nd floor with big windows
Take the stairs and you reach the 2nd floor. Honestly, the 2nd floor had more people and a better mood than the 1st. The big windows give an open feeling even indoors, and the modern interior makes it cozy too.

What's on the Famous Benny menu?
Famous Benny is a brunch café with a strong Australian feel, serving light brunch dishes that are easy to eat early in the morning, plus coffee made with Dukes beans and other drinks. There's a wide range of dishes anyone can enjoy, so it was easy to choose to your taste.

Brunch I ordered with my 5-year-old
I visited Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch with my 5-year-old and ordered the following.
- Avocado toast + 2 extra fried eggs
- Acai bowl
- Warm lemon ginger tea
The food was beautifully plated from the start. As a famous Australian-style brunch café, the colors were so pretty that I couldn't help taking photos. Every dish came out carefully arranged, and I was in a good mood from the first look.

Since I came with a child, Famous Benny also brought out a toddler fork for us.

Avocado toast (+2 extra fried eggs)
Famous Benny's avocado toast is a mild dish with plenty of avocado, vegetables and tomato piled on crispy toast, and adding 2 fried eggs made it a filling meal. I love avocado, so I picked it!! Fresh avocado was heaped on well-toasted, crispy bread, and breaking the yolk and eating it with the avocado added a soft, nutty richness that was really delicious. The flavor is mild rather than punchy, so it was easy to share with my kid. With so many vegetables and tomatoes on top, it tasted fresh and light, which I liked. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone eating clean.

Acai bowl
I ordered Famous Benny's acai bowl instead of ice cream for my kid, who loves ice cream. Topped generously with colorful fruit, it made me feel healthier just looking at it. Fresh fruit, nutty granola and smooth acai blended well, so it was refreshing yet filling. It's packed with peanut butter but not very sweet, with a clean taste that went well with the brunch dishes, and my fruit-loving child enjoyed it, which made me happy.

Warm lemon ginger tea
I can't drink coffee these days, so at Famous Benny I chose warm lemon ginger tea instead. It was good with brunch, with a lovely mix of subtle ginger aroma and fresh lemon. It wasn't too sweet, so it went well with the food, and it kept me feeling warm throughout, so I could finish the meal comfortably.

Overall, it was a happy brunch at Famous Benny, a Gwangalli brunch favorite where the looks, taste and freshness all satisfied. The plating is especially pretty for photos, and with so many mild dishes, it was easy to enjoy with a 5-year-old too.
Verdict: Famous Benny Gwangalli for brunch with a kid
