Side dishes: jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) and unlimited soybean paste stew

These are the basic side dishes! They set the table with so much food it nearly overflows — pickled radish, dressed cabbage salad, and more — but the unique thing is that there's jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) hidden underneath the shredded green onions! Mixed well with the spicy-sour sauce, they were tangy and chewy and so good. I'd recommend trying the jjolmyeon first, then enjoying the green onion salad along with the meat!

The whole pig comes in a 1.0kg portion, just the right amount for four adults to eat their fill! We hurried to put the meat they set up onto the grill.

We tasted the soybean paste stew that comes as a basic setting while waiting for the meat to cook. Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Daejeon Panam branch's soybean paste stew is genuinely delicious, and being unlimited refills is probably why I keep coming back here! It's loaded with tofu and zucchini, with some chili in it too, so it's slightly spicy and rich in flavor — really good with meat and rice!!

How does the aged pork taste? Salt, jjolmyeon and fresh kimchi combos

Today too, I tried the golden-brown meat in various combinations with the side dishes. Since it's aged meat, it's moist yet lean with a nice texture, so it tasted great with just a dip in salt, on top of the jjolmyeon, or paired with the dressed cabbage — the tangy flavor went perfectly with it.

After the meat, we added an order of pork skin! It was cut in a honeycomb pattern and thick, and we flipped it frequently while it cooked. They provide a spicy sauce and a bean flour sauce — the bean flour sauce is a bit salty, and the spicy sauce is quite hot, so you can eat it however you like! Pork skin pairs so well with soju, so if you're having a drink with your meal, definitely give it a try~

Free ice cream and coffee for dessert

There's ice cream and a coffee machine for dessert too, so you can enjoy a satisfying dessert to finish off the meal! Ending the meal with sweet vanilla ice cream alongside my kid felt so refreshing and nice 🍦
