Where is Loventa Suwon Haenggung?

Loventa Suwon Haenggung is at 22 Jeongjo-ro 861beon-gil, 3rd floor, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi, South Korea. It's close to the Haenggung-dong mural village.

Where to park for Loventa's Haenggung-dong ring workshop

Parking in Haenggung-dong is a hassle, so it's easier to use a nearby public lot. Loventa is a 3–5 minute walk from where you park! I recommend the Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot or the Hwaseong Haenggung roadside public lot.

Loventa Suwon Haenggung's exterior and atmosphere

Loventa is a brand-new ring workshop that opened in Suwon not long ago. With fixed prices, high quality and stylish designs, you can make couple rings at a reasonable price. And you can pick up your rings the same day.

It sits between Haenglidan-gil and the Haenggung-dong mural village, so it also works well as a date course.

Loventa uses only top-grade silver and moissanite, a diamond alternative, so you can make a luxurious-looking ring. It takes 2 hours with same-day pickup, and since it's 1:1 customized, even beginners can end up with a polished result.

The display case held real rings made at Loventa. They say the designs carry the touch of a jewelry designer with 30 years of experience.

They're couple rings, but not identical designs. You can make a stylish, thoughtful pair.

The designs looked varied, with different thicknesses, cubic zirconia stones and ring shapes.

Loventa has private rooms, so you can work with your group in privacy, which I liked. The class areas all have floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can watch the Haenggung-dong street while you make your ring.

How much do Loventa rings cost, and are there extra charges?

Loventa uses fixed prices, with rings from ₩80,000 to ₩140,000. When making rings, adding stones and engraving can sometimes lead to surprise extra charges, but at Loventa the prices are fixed and you can see the designs beforehand, so choosing was easy. There's a wide range of price levels too.

There are as many as 42 women's and men's designs, so the range of choice is another plus.

Here are the brief instructions and the order form.

You try on a bunch of samples to find the design you want. Women's rings were thin and men's were thicker. Men's rings cost about ₩5,000 more than women's, which I thought was reasonable.

How I made the Amelia ring at Loventa

This is the apron you wear during the one-day class. One is neatly laid out at every seat.

The design I chose is Amelia. Amelia has a twist at the front, so you only work on the back part.

First you flatten it with a file,

then smooth it with sandpaper.

Then you refine the details and polish it, and it's done! A professional designer comes at each step to guide you. After you've done a certain part, the designer finishes it off, so the result comes out at high quality.

Can you pick up your Loventa ring the same day?

At Loventa you can choose between same-day pickup and courier delivery. I chose same-day pickup, played around nearby in Haenggung-dong, and collected it when they contacted me :) They were running a polaroid photo event at the time, so I enjoyed that too.

You carry the finished ring home in a mini bag. You can tell they put real care into the packaging, so I'd want to come back next time I make a ring.

Loventa is a Suwon ring workshop where you can take a silver craft one-day class. At ₩80,000–₩140,000 it's a little on the high side, but the materials are high quality. With 1:1 coaching from a professional designer, a ring you make once can be used for a long time.
