Apgujeong date pasta restaurant with highball pairings: Eulji Darak
In short
Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park is a pasta and Western restaurant on the 2nd floor, between Apgujeongnodeo Station and Dosan Park in Gangnam, Seoul. Through a bookshelf-door entrance, the writer shared four plates (Darak omurice, brisket perilla oil pasta, katsu sando and corn gnocchi, ₩12,000–18,000 each) with a butterscotch highball and an Earl Grey highball. Bookshelf-door entrance and a tidy interior
The entrance of Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park is a door that looks like a bookshelf, so it makes an impression right from the start. It was so striking and pretty that I filmed it. You open the bookshelf-like door and the restaurant is right there, which gave off a real date-night feeling. (Please watch it in video!)

A stylish bookshelf door that doesn't look like a door at all! I didn't know whether every Eulji Darak branch has one, but at Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park I was excited from the entrance onward.

The inside is also very clean and neat, just right for a date or a brunch.

You can charge your phone, and hair ties and wet wipes are free to use too.

We ordered the brisket perilla oil pasta, Darak Omurice, katsu sando and corn gnocchi.
What does the signature Darak Omurice taste like?
Darak Omurice is Eulji Darak's signature: a fluffy, soft omelet on top of fried rice, and almost a must-order! I'd seen it on Instagram all the time, and in person it was even fluffier and better.

Tasty fried rice with a fluffy, soft omelet on the side: that's the Darak Omurice! The sauce and the omelet went well together, and the thin egg made the texture even more flavorful.

The rice was loose and moist, which I loved. (I want to eat it again..)

Brisket perilla oil pasta and katsu sando
The brisket perilla oil pasta is an oil pasta with thin-sliced beef brisket and perilla leaves, recommended if you like perilla oil pasta. It's a pasta specialist, so I couldn't skip it, and every ingredient was generously piled in, which made it really good to eat together. Oil pasta and brisket plus perilla leaves go so well together, so if you like perilla oil pasta, I totally recommend it!!
In the katsu sando (katsu sandwich), the loin cutlet was very juicy. The crispy cutlet went well with the white bread, so I recommend this one too!

Is the corn gnocchi too heavy?
Eulji Darak's corn gnocchi wasn't heavy at all, even with all that cream. The handmade corn cream was impressive, and the corn and gnocchi paired so well that I kept going back for more.

An Apgujeong date with highballs
At Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park, having a butterscotch highball and an Earl Grey highball alongside made everything better! Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park fully deserved its fame as a recommended date spot. Next time I'll definitely try the spicy cream pasta or the chop pork neck steak XD
It was a fun Apgujeong outing after a long while~ Apgujeongnodeo Station has so much to enjoy and so much good food!
