Today I'm introducing Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch. What is it with office workers and waking up at 6am even on weekends... I closed my eyes trying to fall back asleep but no luck. Since I was up early anyway, I figured I'd grab brunch, so I looked for a place that opens early. And whoa, I found a sandwich shop that opens at 9! Here's my review of this Jamsil sandwich spot, visited right when the doors opened!

Inside Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch: outdoor tables and solo seating
For Jamsil jambon-beurre, here's the interior of Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch. It was a bright, clean, comfortable space. The tables were mostly two-seaters, but there were solo seats too, so it seemed great for Jamsil Station office workers or students eating alone.
There were also cute yellow tables outside the shop. On a nice day, eating out there would feel like a little picnic!

As shown in the photo below, sandwiches can be cut in half, in three, or left uncut, and you can add toppings.
This Jamsil Station sandwich spot makes each sandwich fresh to order. What I especially loved was how good the bread was — the bread really matters for a sandwich, right? They said the baguette is kneaded and baked in-house at Town Sandwich.

Besides sandwiches, they also sell cookies and soups. I thought about getting a soup too, but figured I'd be too full, so I passed haha. Next time for sure.

There's a neat little self-serve bar tucked in one corner of the shop.
Even though it was early morning, it seemed like plenty of Jamsil locals were enjoying brunch like us — there were so many delivery orders. Just while we were eating in the shop, more than 5 delivery riders came through. And lots of takeout customers too haha. Definitely a well-loved Jamsil sandwich spot.
How do the basil jambon-beurre and the Town Sandwich taste?
Our Town Sandwich, basil jambon-beurre, and drinks arrived.
We had it cut into thirds. Even before eating, you could tell the ingredients were fresh just by looking — it really looked appetizing.
For Jamsil baguettes, the basil jambon-beurre is a savory, fragrant sandwich with smoked ham, basil butter, and arugula.
The buttery flavor was strong and paired really well with the arugula. So good! I was a little worried a baguette might be too hard, but no way — it was so delicious. Crisp outside, soft inside baguette! Truly a baguette worth going for.
Since the Town Sandwich shares its name with the shop, I trusted it and ordered it. A signature menu item like this can't possibly be bad, right? Haha.
The Town Sandwich is a classic done right, with smoked ham, lettuce, cheese, tomato, and the house sauce. Light and clean-tasting — it really shows how good a basic sandwich can be!
The warm ginger tea was also fragrant and lovely — the kind of thing that warms you up in the morning~
Overall the sandwiches weren't salty or overwhelming, so they were easy on the stomach! You could really feel how fresh the ingredients were. Both were delicious, but the basil jambon-beurre was my favorite.
