Today I'm introducing a Wangsimni hair salon, "Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch" (오르드비 상왕십리역점). I'll share how my husband's down perm and cut went!
Where is Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch, and when is it open?
Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch is on the ground floor of the Centras shopping complex in Wangsimni, and it's open daily 10:30–20:00. We booked ahead before visiting!
Is there a first-visit discount at Oreudeubi?
Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch gives 20% off a first-visit cut. Since it was my husband's hair, we booked the designer who does men's hair, and she has a welcome event with 20% off first-visit cuts, so keep that in mind!
There's also 30% off if you do a hair consulting & personal color dye on your first visit, so keep that in mind too!
What is a morning appointment at Oreudeubi like?
Maybe because we went in the morning, it felt like we got more relaxed care, which was lovely :) If you want more detailed one-on-one attention, I'd recommend a morning visit!
These days every salon seems to have a massage bed,,, lying on one is honestly heaven,, I wanted to lie down too, hehe

What are the steps of a men's down perm?
Let's start the down perm~
First, you fill out a questionnaire! You check the treatment you want, the design you want, and your hair and scalp concerns, so you get more detailed care, which I think is really good! My husband knew exactly what design he wanted, and the designer delivered just what he needed, so we were really grateful!
My husband came in wearing a cap, so he got a shampoo first, before the cut.
See how messy the front, sides and back are? With women, a missed cut doesn't show much, but with men even a slightly late cut is obvious.
How long do a men's cut and side down perm take?

Getting the cut and down perm together at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch took about 1.5 hours. Men's sides always need a down perm, so we did the cut and then the down perm! We booked for 11 a.m.
The designer also brought drinks while we were being taken care of. I only came along with my husband, but she got me a drink too, which I really appreciated :)

They gave us a single-use shampoo after the treatment. Note that our designer is off on Sundays and Mondays!
