Why we picked Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo for a birthday third round
Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo (수도원의 비밀 저장고) is a Jonggak Station bar and restaurant where the writer and 6 coworkers ended their birthday night. My coworkers took me out for dinner for my birthday~ 👨🏻 There were 6 of us. Round one was yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and beef sashimi, and round two was a pocha (Korean street-style pub) where we ate 7 dishes in total (lol). Then we wondered where to go for round three, and ended up at Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo!

Getting to Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo from Jonggak Station
Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo is about 200 meters from Jonggak Station Exit 4, so we found it easily. Accessibility? Pass 💯

Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo is packed with delicious bar food like gnocchi, pasta and real wood-fired pizza~🥳

You can check the Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo menu from outside without going in, so if you like it, go, and if not, pass~👋🏻 They say you can taste the cooking of a chef who came from the Hilton in New Zealand. No need to hesitate, just go!!!!!!!
It was a weekday, not the weekend, so we got in right away without a reservation. (They say there's a wait on weekends, so call ahead!)

What is the atmosphere like at Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo?
Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo is a medieval monastery-themed space that you walk down into along an arched brick wall. You slip into what feels like a cave and head down along the arched brick wall. It's full of medieval monastery vibes, and it felt pretty special. Suddenly, she starts praying..🙏🏻 hahahahahaha Amen-

With the arches of a medieval monastery, vintage lighting and stylish music all together, it feels like you've stepped into a secret European cellar🏰! The whole interior is done up in the monastery theme, and the props are antique too, so there's a lot of fun in looking around🤣

Is the restroom at Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo clean?
The restroom at Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo is inside the venue and separate for men and women, which is really convenient. And the cleanliness? Wow. You could totally eat in that restroom✨

Seating from solo drinks to a 70-person company dinner
Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo has a bar table, tables for two and a separate room, so it works for anything from drinking solo to a company dinner for up to 70. I'd proudly say it suits any kind of gathering.
- Drinking solo? OK
- Blind date? OK
- Friends' get-together? OK
- Company dinner? OK (up to 70 people)
- Birthday party? OK
There's nothing to cross off the list for gatherings at Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo: you can drink solo at the bar table, go on a blind date or a date at the tables for two, or enjoy a private get-together in the separate room!

At the Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo Jonggak main branch, you can join a roulette game when you write an N review (a Naver review). There's no way I'd skip a little event like this~
How is the Cream Gnocchi of Salvation (₩18,900)?

The Cream Gnocchi of Salvation at Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo costs ₩18,900 and combines chewy gnocchi with bacon and a rich cream sauce. The chewy texture of the gnocchi is great, and the rich cream sauce adds flavor, so it's really delicious.

See? Doesn't it look delicious? Pick up a chewy, bouncy gnocchi and a piece of bacon together, dip them in the cream sauce, and the beer just goes down on its own.

How was the Monastery Garden Arugula Jambon Pizza (₩26,900)?
The Monastery Garden Arugula Jambon Pizza is a ₩26,900 wood-fired pizza, and it was the one we'd been looking forward to the most! It felt like the identity of Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo, so we ordered it! The pizza came out of the oven with a golden-brown crust, and its crispy look got us excited before we even took a bite.

On a well-baked crust sits the Monastery Garden Arugula Jambon Pizza, which, true to its name, feels like it was made with arugula just picked from the monastery's front-yard garden.

They don't skimp on the arugula and pile it on generously, and the natural bitterness of the arugula goes with the salty jambon (Korean-style ham), so the balance is great.

A craft beer toast, and plates wiped clean even on round three
At Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo we toasted with craft beer rather than regular beer. Cheers, drink up~~

(But we definitely never said we'd drink the gnocchi.) Nobody can beat our appetite!! Hmm.. rather than greed, let's say nicely that the food at Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo was just too good. Case closed!

It really wasn't greed, right, guys? Even though it was round three, we wiped out every single dish hahahahahahaha Good atmosphere, good food, and right for any gathering: Sudowonui Bimil Jeojanggo at Jonggak Station. Would I go again? Yes
