Sappuro Tuna Seomyeon Main Branch is an aged tuna and tuna belly restaurant in an alley near Lotte Department Store in Seomyeon, Busan. On a Monday evening, two diners shared the Sappuro belly assortment (38,000 won per person) and were happy with the navel cut, the torch-seared sushi, the complimentary monkfish liver, shrimp and potato croquettes, and staff who offered refills before being asked. Sappuro Tuna is a good Seomyeon tuna restaurant for an anniversary or date when you want soft tuna belly done properly.

Korean pub in Jeonpo, Busan: beef-pancake pork hot pot at Judorak

Judorak Jeonpo-jeom is a Korean pub (hanshik jujeom) on Jeonpo-daero 210beon-gil, near Jeonpo Station in Busanjin, Busan. Over dinner with friends, the writer ordered suyuk jeongol topped with yukjeon (boiled pork hot pot with beef pancake) for 42,000 won, kimchi jeon for 16,000 won and dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken) for 19,000 won, paired them with Jipyeong makgeolli, added a 2,000 won udon noodle refill and received a free dessert through the Naver review event. With floor-to-ceiling windows, a wood-tone interior and group seating on the second floor, Judorak Jeonpo-jeom suits both group gatherings and dates.
