In short
Judorak Jeonpo-jeom is a Korean pub (hanshik jujeom) on Jeonpo-daero 210beon-gil, near Jeonpo Station in Busanjin, Busan. Hello fellow food-spot hunters! Today I'm sharing an honest review of Judorak (주도락), a great-vibe bar in Jeonpo-dong, one of Busan's hottest neighborhoods.

What Judorak Jeonpo-jeom looks like inside and out
Located near Jeonpo Station, this place grabs your attention with stylish interior design right from the entrance. Since it's a Korean-style bar (hanshik jujeom), the exterior really has that traditional Korean feel — so pretty haha. Walking in, the space turned out much bigger, cleaner, and prettier than I expected, beyond what I imagined.

Arriving in front of the shop, a clean, sensibly styled sign and lush plants greet you, adding a refreshing feel. Step inside and an open view unfolds along with a warm, cozy hall.
Lighting gives the whole interior a bright accent, and the light and scenery pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows make the space feel wonderfully open, never stuffy.

The sophisticated wood-tone interior and stylish decor pieces harmonize beautifully, making it a real 'photo spot' where every angle turns out bright and pretty. Whether it's a fun get-together with friends or a romantic date, it's hard to imagine a more warm and cheerful atmosphere.

Second-floor group seating at Judorak Jeonpo-jeom for gatherings
Judorak is great for group meetups — the second floor is spacious too, with plenty of group seating, and just like downstairs, big floor-to-ceiling windows let you look out over the street while you drink. I got there a bit early, so the second floor wasn't open yet. Looking inside, I could see even more seats further in.

Judorak Jeonpo-jeom menu and what we ordered

- Udon noodle refill: ₩2,000

Suyuk jeongol topped with yukjeon, 42,000 won: deep, rich broth
The dish we were most looking forward to was the suyuk jeongol topped with yukjeon (braised pork hot pot topped with pan-fried beef slices). A heavy, generous hot pot arrived packed with tender, soft boiled pork, fresh mushrooms, and fragrant minari (water dropwort), all blanketed under a thick layer of golden, savory pan-fried beef — the visual alone was overwhelming.

The longer it bubbled away, the more the deep juices from the pork seeped into the broth, and the broth flavor was truly exceptional!!
One sip of the rich yet clean, refreshing broth and my whole body warmed up while my stomach felt instantly soothed. Fishing out the tender pork and savory beef slices together with the broth was so much fun, and it was easily the best main dish to pair with drinks.

Dipping the beef slices into the accompanying sauce made them extra soft, and the combination with the sauce made the makgeolli go down way too easily.
And of course — with a jeongol (hot pot), you have to add a noodle refill haha. We added broth too and ate it up properly. The rich broth soaked right into the noodles, making them chewy and so delicious.

Jipyeong makgeolli, 5,000 won
I finally got to try Jipyeong makgeolli and it was genuinely delicious haha. Normally I like to drink the clear part on top first and save the thicker white part on the bottom for later...
But since we were sharing it among friends today, we just mixed it right away. Even so, it was rich and tasty — there's a reason it's famous. Since it's a Korean-style bar, it paired amazingly with the main dishes, so I really had to try hard not to drink it too fast haha.

Kimchi jeon, 16,000 won: crisp edges and savory depth
Served on a big golden plate, the kimchi jeon (kimchi pancake) grabbed our noses with its delicious smell the moment it arrived. It kept the tangy, chewy bite of the kimchi while being fried crispy on the outside and moist inside — a textbook example of crispy-outside, tender-inside. (This one takes a bit of time to come out, so I'd recommend ordering it early! Nothing here disappoints — pancakes are a must with makgeolli haha.)

The sprinkle of savory sesame seeds, seaweed flakes, and spicy chili garnish on top pushed the umami even further. Delicious on its own, and dipping it into the special soy-based sauce that comes with it made it addictively easy to keep reaching for more.

Dakgangjeong, 19,000 won: sweet, crunchy fried chicken
Finally, for something sweet and filling, we chose dakgangjeong (Korean sweet-spicy fried chicken bites), and it did not disappoint. A friend had been begging for this dish literally from the moment we sat down haha. By the end we were already full, but instead of a second round elsewhere, we ordered dakgangjeong so we could keep enjoying Judorak a bit longer! The bite-sized fried chicken pieces were evenly coated in a glossy, sweet-and-spicy signature sauce.

Crispy outside, juicy inside — this is the kind of universally likable, crowd-pleasing flavor that kids and adults alike would enjoy without complaint. Coming after the hot pot and the pancake, the dakgangjeong completed a perfect trio of flavors, and our chopsticks never got a break!
And these crispy fried shishito peppers cut right through the richness for a clean finish! A dream combo you could eat forever.
Free dessert from the Naver review event
If you leave a Naver review, don't forget to enjoy the dessert they give you for it — highly recommended!

The plating alone showed real care — crackers, cream cheese, and fresh, tangy berries!

They give you more cream cheese than crackers, so don't be shy from the start — pile it on generously!
