Why I tried Dalmatian, a dog-friendly restaurant in Starfield Suwon

Dalmatian Starfield Suwon is a newly opened dog-friendly Western restaurant on the 1st floor of Starfield Suwon. Yesterday evening I took our youngest family member, my one and only little sister, our Doberman, to Dalmatian in Starfield Suwon.

I first heard on YouTube that a great dog-friendly restaurant had opened in Starfield Suwon, and the dog YouTubers were all raving about how good Dalmatian is. I searched on Naver, the reviews there were good too, so I went to see for myself with my pup. The atmosphere is lovely, and the place feels upscale and stylish! The menu is varied and the food tastes refined, so it was a really satisfying dinner, and I plan to go again.

Dalmatian Starfield Suwon: location, hours and parking

Dalmatian Starfield Suwon is open 10:30–22:00 with last order at 20:30, and it offers Naver reservations, pet access and parking. It is on the 1st floor of Starfield Suwon, about a 3-minute walk from Hwaseo Station Exit 1.

Come in through Gate 3 of Starfield Suwon and it's the restaurant right on your left!! It's right next to Molly's Pet, so it was easy to find. For parking, use the Starfield Suwon underground car park, which gives you a whopping 360 minutes free. I parked there easily and walked in!!

What are Dalmatian's rules for bringing dogs?

Dalmatian Starfield Suwon is a restaurant where you can enter and dine with your pet. They check rabies vaccination status, and unvaccinated dogs are reportedly refused entry. Inside the restaurant, dogs must be carried.

• Rabies vaccination is checked; unvaccinated dogs may not enter
• Dogs must be carried when moving around inside the restaurant
• Dog-only tables are prepared
• Dangerous breeds or highly aggressive dogs are not allowed
• Dogs 15 kg or over: contact them in advance for help with entry

What is the atmosphere like at Dalmatian Starfield Suwon?

True to a brand-new dog-friendly restaurant, the inside of Dalmatian Starfield Suwon has a trendy, stylish vibe that impressed me. I took photos of the interior myself, as you can see here.

It's pleasant, clean and upscale, and I loved that it felt like being in a European restaurant!!

What did we order, and how was the pre-meal bread?

At Dalmatian we ordered three dishes: perilla oil beef tartare pasta, truffle steak risotto and Bismarck pizza! Even the first thing to arrive, the pre-meal bread, was delicious.

It was even better than the Bushman bread at Outback, so we asked for 3 more refills and happily polished them off! I filmed all the food on video too.

Bismarck pizza, truffle steak risotto and perilla oil beef tartare pasta

The Bismarck pizza was a tasty pie of homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella baked with bacon, mushrooms and more, topped with a poached egg. The truffle steak risotto was a rich, creamy risotto where mild steak and truffle aroma blended together beautifully.

Last was the perilla oil beef tartare pasta, which combined fresh beef tartare, cream onion and a refreshing dressing, with perilla oil adding a nutty richness. All three dishes were delicious!
