Eel buffet in Siheung Baegot with sweet-salty house sauce: Songnim Bok

I heard there's a place where you can eat eel all-you-can-eat, so I went! Not just eel but pork belly and duck neck too, and I was so happy with it that I had to introduce it to you!

Where is Songnim Bok Jangeo Baegot, and where can you park?

Songnim Bok Jangeo Unlimited Freshwater Eel Siheung Baegot Direct Branch (송림복장어) is at Unit 133, 1st floor, Yuho N City Building 1, 43-7 Seouldaehak-ro 278beon-gil, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi, South Korea. It's open 11:20 to 23:00, and you can park in the building.

If you're driving, use the underground parking garage, and when you arrive just check the exterior and the shop name to find it!

Songnim Bok Jangeo all-you-can-eat eel price and time limit

The eel buffet here costs under ₩30,000, and the time limit is 2 hours. Eating your fill of eel normally costs at least ₩50,000, so being able to eat unlimited is a real bargain, right? On top of that, they said they only bring in ingredients prepared that same dawn, and the quality looked really fresh!

Two hours wasn't rushed at all. It was plenty of time to chat and enjoy the meal.

The interior was spacious and clean! Places with grills usually have that typical greasy smell, but at Songnim Bok Jangeo Baegot there was no smell at all, and you could feel how well it's kept.

We ordered the adult unlimited refill plus the table setting fee for 2! There are also various meals besides the buffet, so they'd go well alongside the eel~!

The wall has instructions on how to grill eel well and the benefits of eating eel. There were more benefits than I expected, so I ate as much as I wanted, telling myself it was for my health haha.

The basic setup came with side dishes to eat with the eel and meat, plus a little each of eel, pork belly and duck neck.

Eating only eel can get a bit heavy, but since you can have pork belly and duck neck too, it's easy to switch to another meat in between!!

With eel, which sauce you eat it with matters more than you'd think. At Songnim Bok Jangeo Baegot you can enjoy the eel with their own special sauce.

For more side dishes, eel and meat, just bring them from the self-bar! You take as much as you want without feeling awkward, which was so convenient and nice!!

How good are the all-you-can-eat eel and pork belly?

Then we started grilling the eel and meat! Just from looking at it as it grilled, the quality looked good. They don't use cheap ingredients just because it's a buffet; they use ingredients brought in that day, so I could eat with confidence.

The heat is strong, so the meat cooked quickly~! The color looks really appetizing, doesn't it haha.

I tried the meat too, and I didn't expect much, but the thickness and texture were great!! The quality was no different from a regular barbecue restaurant.

I think we ate at least 3 more rounds... It felt like I'd eaten all my eel for the year haha. It was so tasty and not greasy at all, so it just kept going down.

My first bite was with the handmade special sauce. It was a sweet-and-salty sauce!

Next I tried it in a wrap~!! Eaten with various vegetables, the eel tasted even richer!

Pork belly with ssamjang and aged kimchi, duck neck on the light side

I tried the meat too, and as always the ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) plus aged kimchi combo is the best...!!! Eating meat just when I got tired of eel meant I never got sick of it and could keep going and going haha.

The duck neck was tender too, so it was nice and light to eat!! After eel, I think I ate the most duck neck haha.

Songnim Bok Jangeo Baegot also sells eel extract and takeout eel. If you were thinking of buying the eel extract, ask the staff about price, set and volume, and if you like the eel after eating it in the restaurant, it'd be nice to take some home to enjoy with your family~!
