Shower glass water-stain remover tested 3 times: AutoGrooming Clean View

In short

AutoGrooming Clean View is a 120ml glass-film remover I tested on a shower booth, mirror, fixtures, and car glass in Korea. After three apply-scrub-rinse rounds on the shower booth, the stains were reduced, and the included towel made it convenient to use. Verdict: A handy option for tackling built-up glass stains, though a heavily stained shower booth took repeated work.

Why did I try a car glass-film remover in the bathroom first?

Living in an old villa, I was always a little disappointed that water-stain marks remained even after cleaning the bathroom. I came across AutoGrooming Clean View as a car glass-film remover, but since it was my first time using it, I worried it might scratch the car windows, so I tried it in the bathroom first. Later, I only tried it on the car's side mirrors and rear glass.

What were the contents and solution like to use?

It is meant to remove the oily film that builds up on glass surfaces, so I was curious whether it would also make a difference to the stains left in my bathroom.

The package contained a 120ml solution and a soft towel. It was convenient not having to prepare a separate towel for wiping.

The instructions said to remove dirt from the glass surface first, spread the solution widely, rub it about five times, and then rinse thoroughly under running water.

How much did the shower-booth water stains change?

The bathroom had been cleaned by a cleaning company when I moved in, but if I did not maintain it every day, water stains quickly built up and made the shower booth patchy. This time, I could see a difference in how clean the surface looked before and after wiping.

I rubbed it by hand with the towel, without any machine, and I did not need to use much force. I was pleased that marks which usually remained even after cleaning were reduced.

The solution had an emulsion texture. Its long, pointed nozzle made it easy to apply across the shower-booth surface.

The towel itself was soft, but as I rubbed, I felt as though a faintly rough residue remained on the shower booth.

When I sprayed water on it, I could see the solution rinse away and the stains disappear. Because there was a lot of buildup, I repeated the apply-scrub-rinse process three times in total.

Did I try it on the mirror and toilet-paper holder too?

I rubbed it onto the bathroom mirror too, and the stains disappeared.

After using the solution on the toilet-paper holder, I wiped it with a dry towel. Seeing a sheen on the surface, I also tried it on the faucet at home.

How was it on the car's side mirrors and rear glass?

On the car, I used it on the side mirrors first. I noticed that the cloudy, patchy surface looked smoother.

I used it the same way on the rear glass of my 6-year-old car. I first wiped the dirty surface, applied the solution, rubbed it several times with the included towel, and rinsed it with water.

Once the glass was clean, I got the impression that the whole car looked glossier too. I have not used it on the windshield yet, and I only found myself thinking that I would like to try a water-repellent coating next time.

What was convenient, and what took extra work?

With the towel included and a nozzle that was easy to apply, it did not feel intimidating even for a first-time user. In my case, I could see a change without rubbing hard, but the shower booth had so much water-stain buildup that it did not finish in one round and took three. I also remember the faintly rough feeling while wiping.
