I was craving tonkatsu, so my husband and I went to Jeongseong Katsu Chuncheon Toegye Branch for dinner!

In a neat, clean dining room we ordered a kimchi cheese nabe and a Jeongseong mixed katsu set and shared them. Getting to enjoy two different dishes was so nice :) Today I'll cover what we ate, the atmosphere and the parking info-❤️

We came by car. You can park in front of the restaurant or along the nearby street and walk in, so it wasn't hard at all.
A tidy, spotless dining room

The whole restaurant felt neat and clean, and I really liked that :)

The eating area was well kept, so we could have a relaxed dinner, and the seats felt carefully looked after.

It was also a nice setting for sharing one of each dish with my husband!

Tasty food matters, but I think a clean restaurant makes a meal feel even better! That's why I liked this place.
Jeongseong Katsu menu, what we ordered for two, and prices

The menu had lots of tonkatsu sets, rice bowls, nabe, udon and more. With so many kinds of tonkatsu, you can pick what suits your taste, which I loved!

We decided to order two dishes and share.
- Kimchi cheese nabe ₩13,900
- Jeongseong mixed katsu set ₩13,900
For ₩27,800 in total we got to try two dishes. Ordering a warm nabe alongside the tonkatsu meant we could enjoy different dishes, so I recommend this combo :)

They also run a Naver photo review event, so you might want to join in!
Kimchi cheese nabe with a spicy kick

My order was the kimchi cheese nabe at Jeongseong Katsu. It's ₩13,900! I wanted tonkatsu but also a warm, brothy dish, so I picked this. Cheese on top of a kimchi nabe gave it a charm quite different from tonkatsu.

Alternating with the crispy tonkatsu set made the meal feel more varied, and everything tasted even better than with just one dish. I also liked that sharing with my husband let us try both.

If you're looking for a tonkatsu spot in Toegye-dong, Chuncheon and want more than just tonkatsu, adding the kimchi cheese nabe is worth a try.
Jeongseong mixed katsu set: a variety of flavors

My husband ordered the Jeongseong mixed katsu set. It's ₩13,900! You get to taste several kinds of katsu, so it was great for sharing when two people visit like us.

Alternating between the kimchi cheese nabe and the mixed katsu let us enjoy different tastes, and ordering a variety paid off! We came for tonkatsu, so eating the mixed katsu too made it even tastier.
Jeongseong Katsu serves nutty tea instead of water
Before we started eating, a drink came out by default, and it wasn't plain water but a tea with a nutty aroma, so it was even nicer to drink. I'm not sure whether it was buckwheat tea or Solomon's seal tea, but it was different from ordinary water and memorable, so I took a photo!
