Today I'm introducing Selected Nicks, a café I visited while looking for a big, comfortable place near Gangnam Station! There are so many cafés around Gangnam Station, but finding one where you can open a laptop and work or just take your time isn't as easy as it sounds, right? Selected Nicks is a tiramisu specialty café about a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station. The most impressive thing was its sheer size: it's a large café spread over a whole 5 floors.

It has a café area, a gallery and even a rooftop, so it has a charm quite different from an ordinary Gangnam café. I was amazed that there's such a big café right in the middle of Gangnam. Thanks to all the space it doesn't feel stuffy, and it's easy to relax, which I liked.

It's great for chatting with friends, but personally I'd especially recommend it to anyone looking for a Gangnam laptop café or a work café near Gangnam Station. It looked fine for studying, doing assignments or getting work done with a laptop. If you've been looking for a good study café near Gangnam Station, keep this one in mind.

If you're working on a laptop at Selected Nicks, I recommend the 3rd floor. It has a slightly calmer feel, perfect for laptop work and studying ("kagong", café studying), and the wall-side tables have outlets so you can charge up too.

Each floor of Selected Nicks has a really different charm! The rooftop on the top floor gives you a full view of Gangnam Station. I only stopped by to work for a bit, so I used the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor has a gallery feel, another kind of charm.

How are the Americano and café latte at Selected Nicks?

Classic tiramisu and coffee together? Need I say more~

The drinks I ordered with dessert were an Americano and a café latte. However pretty and spacious a café is, you hesitate to return if the coffee is disappointing, right? But the coffee at Selected Nicks was good too, which made me even happier.

The Americano had a lovely coffee aroma and a clean taste, and it went really well with the sweet tiramisu. The café latte had the appealing smooth, nutty taste of milk. The coffee flavor and milk blended nicely, so it was easy to drink.

Above all, I was really happy with the tiramisu and coffee combo. It isn't a place where only the dessert is good, even the coffee is, which made it more memorable.

A tiramisu favorite near Gangnam Station: the classic tiramisu

Selected Nicks is also known as a tiramisu specialty shop. They say they serve tiramisu based on a traditional Italian recipe with Nick's own style added. I ordered the most basic one, the classic tiramisu.

I really love tiramisu and often order it at cafés, and as you'd expect from a tiramisu specialist, it was delicious. The soft, moist cream had a lovely texture and it practically melted in my mouth.

The sweet, nutty cream plus the bittersweet taste of coffee made a perfect combination. It tasted rich without being too heavy, so it was great with coffee. If you're looking for a tiramisu spot near Gangnam Station, I hope you'll try the classic tiramisu.

Is Selected Nicks a good Gangnam Station café to stay in for a long time?

What I liked most about visiting Selected Nicks was, again, the big space. Gangnam Station has so much foot traffic that it's hard to find a café where you can sit and work quietly, but Selected Nicks is divided into several floors, so I thought you could use it to suit your purpose.

It looked fine for bringing a laptop to do your own work, or for studying and spending time. It seems an attractive option especially for people looking for a big café near Gangnam Station where they can stay a long time. It even has a rooftop, so on a nice day it would be good for enjoying the Gangnam cityscape.

Selected Nicks was a café I was happy with overall, from the space to the dessert and the coffee. I liked that there's such a big café right in the middle of Gangnam Station, but above all the classic tiramisu and coffee were so good that it stayed in my memory.

I'd recommend it to people who like working on a laptop or studying at cafés. It's good for enjoying dessert with a friend, and I think it would also be fine for spending relaxed time alone.
