What discomfort made me wear a knee brace?

I usually enjoy walking and light jogging, but my knees had started to feel achy.

My knees would sometimes twinge, and I even wondered whether I should stop exercising.

I was pregnant, and my joints felt more uncomfortable than before.

Then I found the Lifeclue Patella Support. I wore it myself while exercising to see how it held my knee, whether it slipped down, and whether it irritated my skin.

How do the material feel and size adjustment work?

The first thing that caught my eye was the material on the inside. It uses high-density silicone, and when I touched it, it felt firm yet pleasantly grippy. It is said to have a three-dimensional structure that wraps above and below the kneecap.

It comes in one free size and is said to adjust for knee circumferences from 28 to 45 cm. Because I could change the compression with the Velcro, I tightened it a little more when coming down after hiking and adjusted it for a gentler wrap when walking on flat ground.

It comes in black, and the simple design made it easy to wear with workout clothes. The finishing also felt neat.

Does it slip down when you sweat while running?

Since I have sensitive skin, I worried that wearing it for a long time would make me sweaty and itchy. The brace has a perforated pattern on its surface, and it felt like sweat could escape well when I wore it. When I did interval running, it did not slip because of sweat and stayed snugly in place.

Did the Velcro rub against sensitive skin?

A brace I used before had rough Velcro that would snag my leggings, or rub the areas touching bare skin until they became red and swollen. So this time, I paid close attention to how the Velcro and band felt.

The ends of the Velcro on the Lifeclue brace are rounded, and it caused almost no irritation on my skin. The spandex band held firmly, and chafing on my inner thighs while running was not a major concern either.

How did it feel for walks and downhill paths?

When I actually wore it, my knee felt less wobbly.

When I went for walks wearing the brace, my knee also felt less shaky. What I especially liked while using it was that it maintained a secure fit during exercise and caused little skin irritation.
