Dunsan-dong brunch café date: bulgogi cream risotto, Someday Romance
In short
Someday Romance is a Southeast Asia-themed rooftop brunch restaurant on the 6th floor of Savezone on Dunsan-ro in Seo-gu, Daejeon. On a second visit with his girlfriend, the writer ordered bulgogi cream risotto (₩16,900), a strawberry yogurt smoothie (₩6,500) and Earl Grey cake (₩7,000) at the kiosk, and all three arrived at once. Thick cream, plenty of bulgogi and a cream-loaded Earl Grey cake made Someday Romance a date course that delivered on both food and atmosphere.

Looking for a Daejeon date course?? I'm a review blogger covering places to visit in Daejeon, good restaurants, things to do, and brunch spots.
Whether it's a date with someone you love or a hangout with friends, there are so many great restaurants, activities, and date courses to choose from. If you like drinking, you might go to a meat restaurant, izakaya, or a proper bar for good food and drinks with time together. Guys hanging out often go for something quick and filling like pork bone soup or blood sausage soup. Women tend to gravitate toward pretty cafés or emotional Western restaurants serving pasta or risotto, and pizza places are good too. For activity-based dates, there are unique options like bowling alleys, pool halls, PC cafés, perfume workshops, and ring-making workshops.
Over more than a year of dating — despite the long distance — we've kept things pretty intense, so I've been to nearly all the date spots and courses I mentioned above. There are all kinds of courses and places, but the ones we end up going back to are definitely restaurants with a good atmosphere.
Restaurants with a good atmosphere usually have plenty of photo zones too, so you can capture your partner looking their best. They're generally clean, comfortable, and have nice music playing, which naturally creates a dreamy mood. Plus, Western menu items like pizza, pasta, and risotto tend to be popular with girlfriends, making it a date course with a high chance of scoring points.
So today I'm introducing a Daejeon brunch restaurant that my girlfriend and I already visited once before and both loved, so we went back a second time. We were satisfied again this time. Daejeon brunch date, Dunsan-dong brunch restaurant, dinner menu — Someday Romance. Shall we head off to start some romance~ :)

What kind of place is Someday Romance?
Someday Romance is a Southeast Asia-themed rooftop brunch café where you can enjoy delicious food and great atmosphere right in the middle of Daejeon's hot spots downtown. It's on the 6th floor of Savezone, and pretty much the entire 6th floor is taken up by Someday Romance — reportedly 100 pyeong indoor and 100 pyeong outdoor.
On top of that, it's decorated in a fun way, so at a glance it almost feels like there's a tiny amusement park tucked inside. Naturally, there are plenty of photo spots too. And if you reserve a brunch slot through Naver, they give you one free Americano, soda, or tea per person as a service — a nice perk. It's a no-break-time restaurant, so you can drop by anytime while shopping at Savezone. It's also just a 13-minute walk from Exit 6 of City Hall Station on Daejeon Subway Line 1, so accessibility is great.
Someday Romance

Parking at Savezone and first impressions of the rooftop
Park comfortably in the Savezone underground parking lot, take the elevator, and you'll quickly arrive at the 6th floor to be greeted by this view of Someday Romance. The Southeast Asia-themed rooftop space appears right away. There's water and a fountain too, which kids would love. Photo zones are everywhere, so it's really great for pictures.

Who can use the outdoor dome seats?
Outside, there are also several dome seats, but the domes are only available to guests who order brunch meal items, not just café drinks. When the weather's nice, it'd be a really great atmosphere to enjoy a meal outside. There's also a weekday opening-run event going on, so keep that in mind.

Indoor atmosphere and the self-service bar
Only got lost in the outdoor scenery? There's more. The interior is also beautifully decorated with lots of atmosphere. There are photo zones set up throughout the inside as well. The pickup counter, return spot, and self-service bar are all clearly visible, so it's easy to use. Now let's order~

What we ordered at Someday Romance and what it cost
All ordering at Someday Romance goes through a kiosk. The kiosk screen shows images of the food, desserts, and drinks, and you can also check them via the paper menu placed next to the kiosk.
- Bulgogi cream risotto ₩16,900
- Strawberry yogurt smoothie ₩6,500
- Earl Grey cake ₩7,000
We ordered like this and waited while taking photos.

How was the bulgogi cream risotto?
Everything we ordered came out at the same time. First, the main dish — bulgogi cream risotto. The rich, thick cream, the generous amount of bulgogi, and the vegetable toppings all came together in harmony, and honestly, from the very first spoonful, it was delicious enough to make me let out a little gasp. It tasted even better alternating bites with the strawberry yogurt smoothie that came alongside it.

Strawberry yogurt smoothie and Earl Grey cake
The desserts are pretty impressive too. The strawberry yogurt smoothie clearly had a high strawberry content, since the strawberry flavor really came through, and it paired well with the smooth yogurt — refreshing and delicious from start to finish. As for the Earl Grey cake, the sponge was moist and the cream on top was piled on generously, so anyone who loves a cream-heavy cake will love this one even more.
In the end, we had a fun time at Someday Romance that hit both on taste and on atmosphere. Daejeon Savezone restaurant, Daejeon date restaurant, dinner menu recommendation — I recommend Someday Romance~ :)
