After dinner in Sindang, I was looking for somewhere to go for round two — somewhere I could listen to music while having a drink — and ended up at CMS Soundbar inside Sindang Jungang Market (중앙시장). Sindang has a ton of hip bars and stylish spots these days, but this place felt different, more like a vintage music bar than a typical bar. Walk in through the main entrance of Sindang Jungang Market, pass Okgyeongne Gunsaengseon (dried fish shop), and head a little to the left — that's where you'll find CMS. It's on the 2nd floor of the building housing Sindang Electric Chicken, but the entrance isn't super obvious, so it helps to check the map alongside the CMS sign as you go.

Being inside the market, it's a great location for grabbing good food first and then moving on to round two here.

CMS Soundbar's snacks include tomato cream cheese at ₩12,000, potato salad at ₩12,000, tuna canapé at ₩11,000, and toast at ₩11,000. Cereal comes out as a complimentary snack, and I ordered the tuna canapé to keep things simple alongside the drinks.

There was a generous amount of tuna on top, and eaten together with the cream cheese it was soft and savory, pairing well with either whiskey or a highball.

The portion wasn't overwhelming either, so it was a nice single snack to order for a second round.

No song requests, but conversation is easy over the LPs

Above all, CMS Soundbar is a place where the music sets the mood. They don't take requests, but a variety of genres play — hip-hop, jazz, city pop — so there's a fun sense of anticipation depending on your taste in music.

The music isn't loud enough to drown out conversation, so it was still comfortable to chat with company while drinking. It felt less like a place just for drinking and more like a Seoul LP bar where you enjoy the music and atmosphere together.
