5to7 (오투칠, "O-tu-chil") is a café near Seoulsup known for its soufflé pancakes, and I stopped by after a Seoulsup outing with my mom. From the desserts to the atmosphere, it was perfect for taking parents, and I think foreign friends would love it too, so I really fell for this place 🌿

There are so many hot spots around Seoulsup these days, but 5to7 was the standout. The label "a place even a mom who hates sweets loves" fits it perfectly.

What is the atmosphere inside 5to7 like?

You find 5to7 by heading into the alleys around Seoulsup, and from the moment you step in you get a warm, woody feel 🍃 There are full-length mirrors, warm lighting and cute little plants all around, so wherever you take a photo, it comes out Instagram-worthy 📸

On one side of the café, piles of fresh eggs, the key ingredient of soufflé pancakes, were stacked up, and seeing the staff carefully mix the batter as soon as you order made me trust the place even more!

Through the big windows you can see lush green trees, and just sitting by the window with my mom felt properly healing.

Did the fig soufflé suit a mom who hates sweets?

At 5to7 you order, a buzzer goes off, and you pick up your food yourself. And here it finally was: the fig soufflé and coffees topped with fluffy latte art! The look alone made me gasp 🤍

The fig soufflé is a thick, puffy soufflé pancake topped with plenty of soft whipped cream, surrounded by lots of fresh figs 🍇 A cute herb leaf on top finished it off, so I couldn't not take photos.

I cut off a big bite... and wow, the texture melted away like a cloud the second it hit my mouth. Art!

☁️ The cream wasn't too sweet and was nutty-rich, so even my mom, who doesn't usually like sweet desserts, really enjoyed it. The sweet-tart figs, the fluffy soufflé and the soft cream were a perfect match.

This soufflé is so fluffy and soft!

Pairing it with a hot café latte and vanilla latte

The café latte and vanilla latte we ordered came with lovely heart-shaped latte art, and the nuttiness of the beans and the softness of the steamed milk made a superb pairing with the soufflé ☕ A bite of sweet dessert followed by a sip of a warm latte from the mug made me feel so happy.

5to7 verdict and visit tips

If you want to enjoy carefully made soufflé pancakes and a gentle, cozy mood near Seoulsup, 5to7 is not optional, it's a must!

• Taste: a soufflé that's fluffy and melts away, with sweetness that isn't overdone. Mom was 100% satisfied!

• Atmosphere: warm wood-toned interior, pretty mirror photo spots and green views outside the window
• Would I return: 200%! Next time I definitely want to try the pearl cream brûlée or the matcha soufflé.

5to7 works as a date spot too, but it was a wonderful place to heal while chatting away with parents or friends 🌿 If you're headed to Seoulsup, I strongly recommend stopping by once!
