What events does Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch run?
Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch gives a free americano or iced tea to customers who visit before 2 p.m. on weekends, they say. Today I was looking for things to do in Nowon and ended up at a board game café :->

There's a board on the stairs going up, and it has the birthday-month-free event I mentioned above. Such a great perk for teenagers!!!

Once you reach the 3rd floor, there's Hero Board Game Cafe haha

The counter, food menu and snow bingsu
At Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch, you get assigned a room at the counter you see as soon as you walk in.

The counter has the food menu and the receipt-review perks, so have a look! What caught my eye was the snow bingsu (shaved ice dessert). Selling bingsu at a board game café is such a groundbreaking idea!!!

There's also a Nintendo room, so there are lots of game chips haha. And there's a spot where you can charge your phone!

How do you choose a board game here?
At Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch, lots of board games are laid out in front of the counter, and a touch monitor shows recommendations for 2-player and 3-player games. That makes choosing easy.

Like other board game cafés, the games are sorted in Korean alphabetical order (ㄱㄴㄷ), so finding one was easy.

There's a self-service zone too, and a 500-piece puzzle event, so have fun ><

Room types at Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch
Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch has rooms where you keep your shoes on and cushy rooms where you take them off haha. There are 2-person rooms, group rooms and more, so you can come with any number of people.
Each room has a tablet so you can pay right there, and you can split the bill too, which was nice!!! There are also arcade machines and a PlayStation you can use for free.

Each room also has info on usage fees and bingsu haha. Apparently you can order bingsu through Baemin, Coupang Eats and Yogiyo (delivery apps). Takeout is available too, so keep that in mind.
Shin Ramyun and peach iced tea, ₩4,000 each
What I ordered at Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch that day was Shin Ramyun (instant noodles) for ₩4,000 and peach iced tea for ₩4,000.

My partner and I always eat ramyeon when we get peckish at board game cafés or comic cafés. Did you know ramyeon tastes 100 times better in places like this,,,, hahaha. Cheap ramyeon is my recommendation when you're hungry!

I ordered the peach iced tea and it was sweet, so I played with a proper sugar recharge haha. The seats also have cup holders so nothing spills, a big plus!
4 board games we recommend for a date for two
Let me introduce the games we played today. They were so much fun that I really recommend trying them!!!
Clue: a detective game that stays tense with two players

Clue is a detective game that stays tense even with just two players! You deduce the culprit, the weapon and the place of a mysterious incident at a mansion haha.

Even if you don't know how to play, you can watch a detailed explanation video, so don't worry haha.

You can even see the positions on the tablet >,<
5 Minute Mystery: co-op deduction built on teamwork

5 Minute Mystery was a first for me this time!! You find the culprit from clues in 5 minutes. Time flies more than you'd think, and since it's cooperative, teamwork really matters haha.

The Da Vinci Code: a number game the joker keeps from ending fast

The Da Vinci Code is a game of guessing your opponent's numbers, and because of the joker it doesn't end easily haha. Still, it's fun! I drew the joker in the first round... so happy
Chosung Game King (ㅊㅅ 게임왕): find the 2 missing initial consonants

Chosung Game King was also new to me and it was so much fun lol. It's like Clue, and you look for the 2 missing initial consonants (chosung, the first consonants of Korean syllables).
- Question: How many of the consonants are in "Neoguri" (the noodle brand)?
- Answer: There are (1, 2, 3) of them
You answer like this and work out which cards the other person has.
