Guwol-dong jjukkumi restaurant, rice-paddy window lunch: Boksakkot
In short
Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch (복사꽃피는집 인천점) is a Korean restaurant specializing in fire-grilled jjukkumi (baby octopus) and octopus, on a quiet stretch of Hogupo-ro in Guwol-dong, Namdong, Incheon. Hi everyone~ do you like jjukkumi (baby octopus)?! My boyfriend and I are a total jjukkumi-lover couple who go out for it all the time, haha. We heard about a spot in a quiet Guwol-dong neighborhood with plenty of parking, where ordering jjukkumi gets you gorgonzola pizza and an after-meal coffee as a freebie, so we went to check out Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch (복사꽃피는집 인천점). ◟( ˘ ³˘)◞ ♡
Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch: location, hours and parking
Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch is at 595-24 Hogupo-ro, Namdong-gu, Incheon. It's open 11:00–21:30, with a break from 15:30 to 16:30 and last order at 20:30. They say the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holiday schedules are announced separately, and you can park for free in the restaurant's lot.

Here's the outside!! The restaurant is a single standalone building and the parking lot is big, so it looks great for visiting in a large group.

There's an outdoor terrace with pyeongsang (traditional wooden platforms), so after your meal you can grab the free coffee and enjoy it out in nature!

Do you need a reservation for a weekday lunch at Boksakkot?
Even at weekday lunch, Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch is bustling, so I recommend booking ahead :) There were group customers the day we went, and lots of people there with family or friends!!
We reserved too, and they gave us a window seat with a view of the hills, green rice paddies and trees outside. It was so healing and lovely.

Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch menu and what the sets include
The menu has fire-grilled dishes (spicy pork, jjukkumi, octopus), and if you order a set for 2 or more, they bring a handmade stone-oven pizza (gorgonzola or seasonal), salad, acorn jelly noodle soup and brewed coffee, all included. Isn't that a total value-for-money spot?!
There's also "jjuchipa," spicy jjukkumi with cheese and pasta for extra savory depth. Plus mushroom bulgogi hot pot, octopus with bulgogi, pork ribs and more, so the variety works for everyone from kids to grandparents, haha.

What comes with the fire-grilled jjukkumi set for 2
We ordered the fire-grilled jjukkumi set for 2! The basic spread came loaded with cool acorn jelly noodle soup, crunchy salad, corn salad, bean sprouts, spinach and kimchi, all things that go nicely alongside, haha.

The acorn jelly noodle soup is refreshing and cool, great for getting your appetite going, and the salad has crisp vegetables with a mild mayo sauce, so it pairs well with everything, haha.

Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch also gives out soda for free!! There's a zero-sugar pineapple drink too, so you can have something cold, and if you need more side dishes just help yourself at the self-serve bar.
The full table: fire-grilled jjukkumi with extra fried shrimp
We ordered the jjukkumi for 2 plus an extra order of fried shrimp, and it all arrived as a table so full the legs could break.

Wow, you order jjukkumi and you also get gorgonzola pizza, mixed vegetables to make bibimbap-style rice, acorn jelly noodle soup and salad..? Isn't this a seriously great-value restaurant?!

Is the fried shrimp worth adding?
The fried shrimp at Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch is crispy outside and moist inside, with plump shrimp packed in, and dipped in tartar sauce it was really good!! Definitely add it, haha.

Spicy jjukkumi paired with gorgonzola pizza
When you're eating the spicy jjukkumi, dip the gorgonzola pizza in the cheese and the heat fades, and the two go together so well. We really enjoyed it, haha.

The fire-grilled jjukkumi here is full of smoky flavor, the sauce soaks right in, and the jjukkumi is plump and big, so it was ridiculously satisfying, haha. It comes sprinkled with sesame seeds and stir-fried with vegetables, so the savory depth is great.

Is Boksakkot a good Guwol-dong jjukkumi restaurant to take your parents?
We put jjukkumi and rice on the bibimbap vegetables and stir-fried it all together, and it was such a satisfying meal!! At Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch, kids and older folks alike can eat from a generous spread with no one being picky. The staff were very kind too, and the free coffee after the meal is a bonus!!
Good parking, good flavor, a real gem that's great for family visits. We're 100% going back.
