Quiet Seongsu café: Guji filter coffee and lemon sand cookie, T Coffee
In short
T Coffee is a basement café in Seongsu, Seoul, tucked inside Pizza Slice in the This Is Never That building, across from Yeonmujang-gil. On this repeat visit, the writer ordered an Ethiopian Guji Gogugu Natural filter coffee, and the staff-recommended lemon sand cookie brought out the coffee's apricot-like acidity even more clearly. T Coffee is the café to return to when you want a quiet cup away from the Seongsu crowds.

Where is T Coffee, a quiet café in Seongsu?
T Coffee is a café hidden inside Pizza Slice, across from Yeonmujang-gil in Seongsu. There are so, so many cafés in Seongsu... new ones open practically every day, and T Coffee is the one I've visited many times. A place where you can drink coffee comfortably!

Walking around Seongsu, there are just too many cafés, and the whole area is so hectic that finding a quiet hidden one is surprisingly hard, right? T Coffee sits across from the super crowded Yeonmujang-gil! It's tucked inside Pizza Slice, so it feels like a shop inside a shop, haha.

It's this cozy. T Coffee feels like walking into a café in Tokyo. The green plants beside it make it feel even more hidden in the middle of the city.

Where are the best seats at T Coffee?
T Coffee has tables behind the bar, and I really love these inner seats.

There weren't as many people as I expected, and sitting further inside brings a calm that's a bit different from the busy mood outside. Seongsu has plenty of pretty, stylish cafés, but places where you can stay quietly are surprisingly precious.

Getting in through Pizza Slice makes it feel like a hidden hideout, which makes the café feel extra special. A welcome spot when you want to rest with a coffee in tiring, exhausting Seongsu.

What are T Coffee's interior and natural light like?
The interior looks ordinary at first, but the details are wonderful here and there. It's cozy without being over the top, comfortable, with a slight artistic touch too.

The light is great too! Such a lovely mood, right? A very pleasant space that makes you feel like you're on a trip to Tokyo.

I love that the tables aren't plain squares, and the bench table by the window is casual and nice. Kind of like a café on the ground floor of a select shop in Tokyo?

There are lovely artworks in every corner. The chairs stacked up like that are so pretty too. Noted... check, check.

The chair colors are so pretty! I really covet that purple chair...

This corner is pretty too. At T Coffee the objects, furniture, frames and small props are all lovely. It looks like nothing special, yet you can tell a lot of care went into it.

Even the water pot is such a pretty one, how did they find it!!

What did I order at T Coffee?
This time I ordered the Ethiopian Guji Gogugu Natural filter coffee. The menu looks like this. On my earlier visits I had an americano and a latte, and both were really good! So I figured the filter coffee would be tasty too.

The logo is so cute... I don't know what it has to do with T Coffee that it's shaped like this, though.

What dessert goes with Ethiopian Guji filter coffee?
A staff member recommended the lemon sand cookie with the Ethiopian Guji. T Coffee is quietly a great dessert spot, and all the cookies look so delicious, right? I was torn between the lemon sand cookie and one that looked like a peanut cookie, so I asked which went better with the Ethiopian Guji!

They recommended the lemon cookie, so I ordered it. Oh wow... it's so good. I wanted to buy one more to take away!

The lemon sand cookie and Ethiopian Guji coffee make a great pairing. The apricot-like acidity of the Ethiopian coffee became even clearer when it met the lemon sand cookie.

The T Coffee logo on the coaster is so cute too... sigh.

How was the service at T Coffee?
The staff at T Coffee are kind without being overbearing. The shop is pretty, the details are wonderful, and looking at it now, the chairs are so beautiful too. Sometimes pretty cafés like this have staff so hip they come across as cold, but here it was just natural, neither too much nor over-friendly, and I liked that.

Ah, so pretty...

I left in a great mood after a cup of coffee, and even the sunlight was coming in beautifully: Seongsu café T Coffee.

T Coffee, the Seongsu café I keep going back to
The exterior is pretty too: T Coffee is hidden inside Pizza Slice in the This Is Never That building in Seongsu. There are so many cafés in Seongsu, but T Coffee is the one I go to most comfortably these days. The espresso-based coffee was delicious, and the Ethiopian Guji filter coffee was really satisfying too! The apricot-like acidity and the lemon sand cookie made a great combination.
From the location inside Pizza Slice across from Yeonmujang-gil to the tables hidden behind the bar, the coziness of the space felt even more charming against the noise of Seongsu! Hunting for new, spectacular cafés is fun, but having somewhere you can return to with an easy mind is a real treat, especially in Seongsu. If you want to enjoy coffee quietly in Seongsu or need a café for a short break, T Coffee is worth remembering.
