Comparing eel buffet sets in Cheongna, Incheon: Jangsodam B Set
In short
Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch is an all-you-can-eat grill restaurant in Cheongna, Incheon serving domestic japonica freshwater eel and prime-roll beef. Three diners compared the A, B, C and D sets, ordered Set B at 34,000 won, and also tried the seasoned crab, the machine-dispensed Hangang ramyeon and the fried items at the self-serve bar. If eel is the goal, skip Set C, which has none, and leave the seasoned meats that require a grill swap for last.

These days a kilo of eel runs at least ₩40,000, so even when I'm craving it I keep putting it off. Looking for an all-you-can-eat eel spot in Cheongna, Incheon, I ended up at Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch.

Where is Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch, and where do you park?
Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch is on the 2nd floor of the Parking Tower Dome building near Cheongna Catholic Church, right where you can see the Starbucks. The parking lot is spacious, so you won't be circling around for a spot.

If you're coming by bus, it's a 2-minute walk from the Lynstraus main gate stop.
Sets A, B, C and D: which one should you order?
Jangsodam has four sets: A, B, C, and D. You should look at the composition differences before the price differences.

📌 Jangsodam set comparison (per adult, table charge included)
- Set A ₩39,000 — eel + 6 types of beef + yukhoe (raw beef tartare) + crab
- Set B ₩34,000 — eel + short rib + crab
- Set C ₩32,000 — 6 types of beef + yukhoe + crab (no eel)
- Set D ₩21,000 — pork + 3 types of dak-galbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) + specialty dishes
- Included in all sets — pork, specialty dishes, Hangang ramyeon, drinks, rice, soft-serve ice cream

If you're there for eel, avoid Set C — it doesn't include any. The difference between A and B is the beef: A comes with 6 types of beef plus yukhoe, while B comes with short rib. The three of us ordered Set B.

This is what you get to start, and anything else you need you can grab from the self-serve bar.
What's on the Jangsodam self-serve bar?
The self-serve bar at Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch has lettuce wraps and side dishes, plus seasoned pork and chicken that you grab yourself and grill. Side dishes come on divided stainless trays, and there's a separate assorted fried food corner where we grabbed shrimp and potato fritters.

📌 What you can grab from the self-serve bar
- Lettuce wraps lettuce · perilla leaf · cabbage · garlic · cheongyang chili
- Side dishes kimchi · green onion kimchi · pickled radish · turnip pickle, etc.
- Meat seasoned pork · chicken
- Fried food assorted fritters corner, always available
- Drinks Pepsi · Zero Pepsi · Chilsung Cider · Tams
- Ramyeon Shin Ramyeon · Ansung Tangmyeon · Chapagetti · Buldak · Snack Ramyeon · Neoguri · Yeolla Ramyeon, and more
- Dessert soft-serve ice cream
※ ₩3,000 charge if you leave ramyeon unfinished

The self-serve bar is bigger than I expected. Along with the lettuce wraps and side dishes, you grab the seasoned pork and chicken here yourself to grill.
Why seasoned meat comes last: the grill-swap order
Seasoned ribs and dak-galbi need a separate grill swap. Once it's swapped it's hard to go back, so I'd recommend eating your fill of eel and beef first, then ordering the seasoned meats last.

How the domestic japonica freshwater eel tastes
Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch uses domestic japonica freshwater eel. Most all-you-can-eat eel places use imported eel, but here it's domestic japonica — cleanly prepared, with thick, plump flesh. There's almost no fishy smell. This was the biggest plus for me.
On the grill, the fat renders and the outside turns golden brown. The inside stays soft while the skin side gets chewy. Refills come by serving robot.
Prime-roll beef is unlimited too
Eel isn't the only unlimited item at Jangsodam — the beef is unlimited too. It's prime roll, sliced thin, so it cooks fast.
It's not overly fatty. When the eel starts feeling heavy, a slice of this cleans your palate right up.
Seasoned crab: one serving with Set B

Seasoned crab comes with Sets A, B, and C. With B, though, it's only served once. It's gochujang-based with sesame seeds on top. It looks spicy at first glance, but the sweetness comes through first. Perfect for the three of us to share.

The machine-dispensed Hangang ramyeon corner
The ramyeon corner is machine-operated. You put the noodles in a container, press a button, and the water gets added automatically. There's a good variety. Since leftovers cost ₩3,000, only take what you'll actually eat.
Inside Jangsodam: dining room and kids' play room
Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch has a spacious dining hall. The tables are set with plenty of room between them, so you don't hear the next table too loudly. There are plenty of seats, so it looked like it could easily handle a work dinner or group gathering. There's also a separate play room, which seems convenient if you're bringing kids.

I wasn't expecting much quality from an all-you-can-eat place, but using domestic japonica eel really shows. The prime-roll beef wasn't just there for show either. I'd recommend it for a family meal out or a group dinner. If you're looking for all-you-can-eat eel in Cheongna, give Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch a try.
