In short
Jjaengbanjip8292 Sinchon is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Yonsei-ro 4-gil in Seodaemun, Seoul, within walking distance of Sinchon Station. After a hospital check-up with the older child and the younger one in a stroller, the family had a late-afternoon meal of the 600g pork tray (₩49,000), gyeranjjim (steamed egg custard) and 150g of honeycomb pork skin. My older son had a really rough morning — tests and check-ups at the hospital from early on. By the time everything wrapped up around 2pm, both of us were completely drained.
"You worked hard today, what do you want to eat?" On days like this, the answer is always meat, haha. Since he barely got to eat anything because of the tests, I wanted to feed my son a solid, satisfying meal, so I looked up Korean BBQ restaurants in Sinchon and ended up at Jjaengbanjip8292 Sinchon.
Where Jjaengbanjip8292 Sinchon is and where to park
Jjaengbanjip8292 Sinchon is located at 27 Yonsei-ro 4-gil, 1st floor, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. It's close enough to Sinchon Station to walk from there, which makes it convenient by public transit, and — great news for families like mine driving with two kids — parking is available.
When you're trying to eat out with kids in Sinchon, finding a place with parking can honestly be harder than finding a good restaurant.
The restaurant is listed as open daily from 11am to midnight with no separate break time. We showed up at an in-between hour — too late for lunch, too early for dinner — but that actually worked in our favor, since it wasn't crowded and we could eat at a relaxed pace with the kids.
※ Hours and parking availability can change depending on the restaurant's circumstances, so it's worth double-checking before you visit.

Is there room for a stroller inside?
Jjaengbanjip8292 Sinchon was bigger than I expected, with generous space between tables to move around. The owner welcomed us warmly even with the stroller in tow, which put me at ease right from the start.

When you're eating out with two kids, I used to check the taste first — now, without even realizing it, the first thing I check is the space between the entrance and the tables, haha. With a stroller for my second child on top of that, a cramped layout makes me tense from the moment I walk in.
What was fun about this place, above all, was the spinning tray built into the table. You put the side dishes in the middle and spin it around, so grabbing whatever you need is easy. My older son secretly seemed to enjoy spinning it too, haha. It seems like a place that would work well not just for a family meal but also as a Sinchon group dinner spot with several people.
The 600g pork tray at ₩49,000: four cuts on one plate
We ordered Jjaengbanjip8292's signature menu item, the 600g pork tray for ₩49,000. It's made up of pork belly, pork shoulder, pork jowl, and kkodeulsal (chewy pork cartilage-adjacent cut), totaling 600g.

What I liked most is that instead of ordering just one cut, you get to try several pork cuts on one plate. Maybe it's because the pork goes through an aging process, but the meat looked appetizing the moment it arrived, color and all.
The second the meat hit the grill, that savory smell filled the air... and my son's eyes, which had been dull all morning after the tests and barely eating, suddenly lit up, haha. Seeing that, I thought, 'Okay, coming here for meat today was the right call.'
The pork belly had a nice balance of fat and lean meat, and the pork shoulder was easy to eat without feeling dry.

Surprisingly, the one I enjoyed most was the kkodeulsal. Just like the name suggests, it has a distinctly chewy texture, and the more you chew, the more savory it gets. My son also seemed to like the meat — he ate way more than I expected. As a mom, watching each piece of meat disappear into his mouth was satisfying enough on its own.
Gyeranjjim for the kids and 150g of honeycomb pork skin
Ending the meal with just meat felt like it needed something more, so we also ordered egg custard (gyeranjjim), which is easy for kids to eat. It was soft and fluffy, good to eat alongside the meat and also good as a side dish for the kids' rice.
And there was one menu item that day that unexpectedly won me over.

It was the honeycomb tripe! A 150g portion of honeycomb tripe is also available separately. It's scored densely with small cuts, so when grilled it turns golden and crisp on the outside while staying chewy inside. Even after filling up on the pork, I still found room for the tripe, haha. This felt less like an everyday meal item and more like something perfect for slowly grilling over a drink.
Looking through the rest of the menu, there was quite a variety of dishes good for finishing off a meat meal — kimchi rice roll, doenjang rice roll, kimchi and doenjang stew, water and spicy cold noodles, beef and seafood ramyeon. Next time I'd like to try the doenjang rice roll.

Final verdict after eating out with two young kids
After a long day of tests at the hospital, both my son and I were pretty exhausted. So rather than somewhere busy or chaotic, I wanted a Sinchon Korean BBQ restaurant where we could sit comfortably and eat a hearty meal — and on that front, it was a satisfying experience.
In particular, since I had brought the stroller for my second child, the spacious layout made it easy to move around, and the staff were friendly, which made handling two kids much less stressful. I also liked that a single pork tray let us taste pork belly, pork shoulder, pork jowl, and kkodeulsal all in one order.
That said, given Sinchon's character as a neighborhood, it seems like the atmosphere could get livelier and more crowded during dinner or group-dinner hours. If you want a more relaxed meal with kids, visiting during a late lunch or early afternoon like we did might be a good option.
But honestly, what I loved most that day wasn't any single dish — it was being able to comfortably watch my son, who'd had such a hard morning with his tests, enjoy his meat so happily. On days with a hospital appointment, both mom and kid end up unusually worn out. So just having one satisfying, delicious meal after it was all over gave me a bit of comfort.
If you're looking for a good Korean BBQ restaurant in Sinchon and care about parking as well as a spacious dining room where you can comfortably eat with your kids, Jjaengbanjip8292 Sinchon is worth considering. For our family, it was the place that turned a tiring day into a good one, thanks to some really good meat.
