With the wedding not far off, I found my fingertips mattering almost as much as the dress. Hands show up everywhere: when you hand out invitations, when the ring goes on, and in photos at the ceremony. So this time I wanted proper wedding nails. I went to Nail & Style, a well-known wedding nail spot in Ilsan, and I was so happy with the result.

Inside the Jeongbalsan Station shop and the sample designs

The first thing I noticed when I walked into Nail & Style was how clean and tidy it felt.

The whole place was bright and well organized, and the sample designs were so varied that I ended up browsing for ages. There were all the trendy styles, like magnetic (cat-eye) nails, syrup nails and powder nails, and plenty of wedding nail designs too.

Wash my hands first, then off to the consultation~

They also prepared drinks for me, so I could relax the whole time during the treatment.

The treatment area was really comfortable.

How does the wedding nail consultation work?
In the wedding nail consultation at Nail & Style, they checked my bridal waiting room, bouquet, dress and ceremony hall, then suggested designs that would suit them. I was treated by the deputy director (Buwon-jang), and since these were wedding nails, I told her I wanted something elegant that would let the dress and ring stand out rather than anything too flashy.
During the consultation she asked me to show photos of my bridal waiting room and bouquet. She looked at everything so carefully that I was really touched, haha. She checked the dress and the ceremony hall too!

After the consultation she suggested a few candidate designs, haha. I decided on a nude base with watercolor lace accents. There are plenty of other designs besides the one I chose, so take a look.
How is hygiene at Nail & Style?
Nail & Style runs a 6-step sterilization system and uses disposable kits, which put me even more at ease. Hygiene is something you quietly care about a lot at a nail salon. The tools were kept neatly and the treatment area was clean too.

Gel removal, cuticle care and nail extensions
From removing my old gel to cuticle care, they did every step really carefully. The cuticle work didn't hurt at all, and they shaped my nails delicately, keeping both hands balanced.
Two nails on my left hand were a little short, so I had them extended too.

They looked like my real nails, with no odd feeling at all from the extension.

On top of the nude watercolor lace they added cubic zirconia and gradation accents, and with the understated pearls and accent parts, the whole look came out really elegant.

Did the finished wedding nails go with the dress and ring?
The nude lace wedding nails from Nail & Style went really well with the wedding dress and with my diamond ring. They sparkled so prettily in the light that I kept staring at my hands.
They look pretty in photos, but in person they feel much more luxurious, and they went so well with the wedding dress.

A perfect match with the diamond ring too

True to bridal nails, the design is less flashy and the kind you won't tire of looking at, so I think I can keep wearing them comfortably after the wedding. They were so pretty at the ceremony too ✨
