Cheonan café in Sinbu-dong: 5 financier prices & vintage decor

I was in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan, looking for somewhere to rest with a coffee, and ended up at Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch (브루어스커피 천안신부점). It's a pretty well-known café in the Sinbu-dong area, especially for baked goods like financiers (small almond-butter cakes) and madeleines haha

I liked the café's vibe from the photos, and in person it really has its own distinct look, from the exterior to the interior.

Where is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch?

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is at 20 Meokgeori 9-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam. It's an easy walk from central Sinbu-dong, where Cheonan Shinsegae Department Store and Cheonan Intercity Bus Terminal are, so it's convenient by public transport too.

The street is a lane full of restaurants and cafés, so it works well as a second stop after a meal haha The building is a deep charcoal color, so it clearly stands out from the shops around it. They don't hang a big sign, but that actually made it feel even hipper lol

Clean yet vintage: inside Brewers Coffee in Sinbu-dong

Step inside and the mood differs from the exterior. White walls and a black counter are paired with wood furniture, old picture frames and small props here and there for a vintage feel.

It's a bit different from the all-white, squeaky-clean cafés of today, so it was fun to look around haha One wall is packed with frames of various sizes and designs, and fabric and goods with the Brewers logo are arranged in naturally too. In front of the counter, coffee grinders and stacked cups fit in so well they feel like part of the decor lol

It's not a huge, big-box café, but there were a fair number of window seats and table seats. Outside there's also a terrace under an awning, so in cooler weather it would be nice to sit outdoors with a coffee haha

Which financiers does Brewers Coffee sell, and how much are they?

The financiers in the showcase at Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch were ₩3,000 for plain and butter tteok (rice cake), and ₩3,500 for nuneddine (누네띠네), apple Earl Grey and vanilla macadamia. Personally, what caught my eye most at Brewers wasn't the coffee but the baked goods showcase. In the glass case next to the counter, financiers and madeleines are packed in by type lol

There are also crème brûlée madeleines and almond chocolate madeleines, so looking at them one by one, it's surprisingly hard to choose haha Besides financiers, Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch also sells canelés (caramelized French pastries), flans and other baked goods, and is introduced as a place that does gift packaging.

Coffee and dessert together at Brewers Coffee

True to its name, Brewers is closer to a café where you can properly enjoy coffee than a dessert shop selling only baked goods. There's the signature Brewers Coffee topped with nutty almond cream, plus basic Americanos and lattes.

Picking one baked treat and having it with coffee seemed like the perfect combo haha The financiers especially come in so many kinds that I naturally thought I'd want to try other flavors next time instead of stopping at one visit lol

Gift packaging for financiers and madeleines

When you buy several desserts at Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch, they can be packed in a black package, which looked fine for a simple gift. Even in the photo the package looks quite neat, so it seems handy for giving baked goods to a coffee lover haha

Is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch worth a visit?

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch has a different charm from the trendy big-box cafés. The vintage interior and coffee bar mood were nice, but what I remember most is the variety of baked goods filling the showcase lol Even for financiers alone, the choices run from basic to nuneddine, Earl Grey and macadamia, so anyone who likes baked sweets will probably enjoy just browsing.
