What is Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City?
Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City is a jelly shop in Yeongjong where you can pick as much imported jelly as you like. I found a place my jelly-obsessed boyfriend would love, so we went together.
If you like jelly, this is hard to walk past, haha. It's basically jelly heaven, Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City. To get straight to the point: for someone who loves jelly, it really was heaven, haha. My boyfriend is the type who studies every jelly on the supermarket shelf, and the moment we walked in his eyes lit up. I had never seen this many kinds of jelly in one place either, so it was fun for me too. Okay, let me start the review of our jelly shopping trip!

A pink storefront and tubs full of jelly
Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City has a pink exterior, so it was easy to spot from far away. Inside, the shelves are packed with jelly, candy and fruit-shaped treats. The owner greeted us warmly as we walked in, haha.
And the first thing you see inside is a huge number of jelly tubs!!! The jelly just spreads out in front of you the second you enter. My boyfriend got excited right away and started browsing, hahaha.

Standing beside him, I was already stuck on what to pick. I wondered whether there had always been this many kinds of jelly, with so many shapes and colors I'd never seen before. If you're looking for a great jelly spot in Yeongjong, it's a good place to come with someone who loves jelly.
How much is jelly at Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City, and how do you fill a bag?

The imported jelly was ₩48 per gram when I checked, and ₩45 per gram during the opening event. You take a bag provided in the shop and fill it with the jelly you like.
The most fun part was picking the jelly yourself. You can add as much imported jelly as you want, so just browsing was a blast, haha. You can also put the bag on the scale along the way to check the weight. As you add the things you want to eat one by one, you start wondering how heavy it will get.

What to know before you fill your bag
- Jelly you have put in the bag can't be taken back out, so choose carefully from the start, haha.
- Checking the price on the scale as you go is a great tip!
Of course, there are so many kinds of jelly that choosing is not easy once you start. I want to try this, and I'm curious about that too! My boyfriend agonized for a long time as he kept shopping. Picking out a little of lots of different imported jellies was especially fun.
Which jelly shapes did we pick?
My boyfriend chose classic bear-shaped jelly, carrot, pineapple, dolphin and avocado-shaped jellies, and marshmallows. And so the real jelly picking began, hahaha.
The first thing he chose was the basic shape that looks like Haribo. It's a familiar shape, so it seemed an easy, safe one to eat.
Next we found carrot-shaped jelly!!! Is jelly really allowed to be this cute, hahaha. It's an orange carrot shape, and it caught my eye just from how it looks. You don't only choose by taste; looking at unusual shapes like this is fun too.

Then he picked pineapple-shaped jelly too. Made in fruit shapes, the colors are bright and it was fun just to look at. It made me curious what it would taste like, haha.

Next up was dolphin-shaped jelly! With so many kinds of jelly, you lose track of time looking at them one by one.
We even found avocado-shaped jelly. The shape is different from the jelly you usually see, so browsing was fun. With this many cute-shaped jellies, no wonder my jelly-obsessed boyfriend loved it, hahaha. He had a great time filling his bag.
Not just jelly: marshmallows too
I thought it was only jelly, but as we looked around we found marshmallows too! If you like a fluffy texture, you could pick marshmallows along with your jelly. My boyfriend likes snacks where the texture is fun as well as the taste, and he was happy to be able to choose this kind too.

Your own DIY jelly mix~ happy jelly shopping!!! From chewy jelly to soft marshmallows, you can choose by your own taste, which was even better. Above all, because you fill the bag yourself, the browsing itself felt like a game. Compared with buying one ready-made package and leaving, it was fun picking exactly the kinds you want.
So I think it would be fun to visit with kids too, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes unusual snacks. If you're planning a must-try snack route in Yeongjong, this quirky snack shop is worth adding to your schedule. On a trip to Yeongjong, you can look at jellies you don't often see and buy snacks too, which made it a fresh kind of fun.

One thing to note: Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City is not a typical café where you drink something and play with slime. It's a shop for browsing and buying jelly, snacks, slime and so on. My boyfriend was busy choosing jelly while I looked at the curious products next to him, hahaha. Looking at this and that, we ended up staying longer than expected.
