Today I visited Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch (머노까머나 신촌점), a place in Sinchon where you can feel real Indian atmosphere!

I love curry and naan (Indian flatbread), so I'd wanted to try this place for a while. The mood and the food were better than I expected, so I'm sharing it with you. Meno Kamena has a lot of branches, and I went to the one in Sinchon.
Where is Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch and when is it open?
Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building at 13 Yeonse-ro 11-gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, 443 m from Sinchon Station Exit 2. It is open every day from 11:00 to 22:30.

It's an easy walk from Sinchon Station, up on the building's 2nd floor. There's a big "Indian cuisine" (인도요리) sign on the outside of the building, so it wasn't hard to find.

What is the interior and atmosphere like at Meno Kamena?
Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch is decorated in a colorful Indian style, with red walls, antique lighting and elephant paintings, so it feels exotic. The tables are spaced generously too, so it looked good for family gatherings, dates or meeting friends.
The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the colorful Indian-style interior. The red walls, antique lights, elephant paintings and all kinds of small decorations come together to create an exotic mood. With the roomy spacing between tables, you can eat comfortably, and I thought it's a nice space for a family meal, a date or a visit with friends.
Also, the owner? Or a staff member? who welcomed us seemed to be Indian (at the very least a foreigner, haha). I think that made the meal feel even more exotic.

Ordering by QR code at the table
At Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch you order by scanning the QR code on the table. While waiting for our food, we kept hearing ding-dong sounds all around. It was dinnertime, so I guess lots of delivery orders were coming in.

Meno Kamena Set B for two: what's included and the price
What I ordered at Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch was the Meno Kamena Set B for two, ₩33,500 in total. Here's what comes with it.
- Chicken tikka
- Curry (palak paneer)
- Butter naan
- Plain lassi, strawberry lassi
With prices so high these days, eating out easily costs ₩50,000–60,000 for a meal, so at around ₩30,000 I thought this was fantastic value.

Starter salad
The salad came out first in Set B: fresh greens topped with purple cabbage, carrot and sliced almonds, with a tangy dressing that was perfect for whetting the appetite. It came with orange too, which made it even fresher. And of course it tasted good.

Plain lassi and strawberry lassi
The plain lassi (yogurt drink) had a rich, smooth yogurt flavor. I love lassi, and my friend said the strawberry lassi they drank had an added strawberry flavor and was delicious.

Chicken tikka
The chicken tikka at Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch had a vivid red color that got my appetite going just by looking at it. It wasn't crispy outside and juicy inside but juicy outside and juicy inside, so it was tender with no dryness. The aroma wasn't too strong either, so I kept eating it and really enjoyed it.

Palak paneer curry, butter naan and rice
Finally, the mains arrived: palak paneer curry, butter naan and rice! The butter naan needs no explaining, it was delicious, and dunking it generously in the curry is just so good. The rice was great too, mixed into the curry. Curry with naan and rice, it's a winning combo!

The best combination in the set
The writer's favorite combination at Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch is butter naan piled with palak paneer, eaten together with tandoori chicken. On top of that, the colors of the food are pretty, so the photos come out well, and I liked that every dish was plated neatly.
Verdict: is Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch worth it?
If you want to try some different foreign food in Sinchon, I'd recommend Meno Kamena Sinchon Branch. The interior has a local feel, and thanks to the Indian owner? I even felt like I was traveling, and it was a comfortable place to eat. It's great for curry and naan lovers, and also easy for people trying Indian food for the first time, so I recommend it as a Sinchon Indian curry favorite!
