Cat dry food for picky cats: Thrive PremiumPlus Salmon & Herring
In short
Thrive PremiumPlus Salmon & Herring is a 1.5 kg cat dry food tested in a four-cat household. Even the two picky cats ate it well, though the large kibble had to be crushed for one cat with all teeth removed and ₩41,000 felt expensive. Verdict: highly palatable, but costly and not ideal for every cat's teeth.

Living with four cats, I've come to pay as much attention to palatability as ingredients when choosing cat food. It's hard to find food that everyone likes, but all four cats ate the Thrive PremiumPlus Salmon & Herring dry food I received this time really well.

Which ingredient and manufacturing details did I look at?
I was interested in the product description saying it uses dried meat and fresh meat instead of ingredient powders. I also considered that the raw meat is dried at a low temperature, and that the UK PET PROJECT factory manages everything from ingredients to packaging.

Some of my cats have been with me for nearly 10 years, so I find myself looking more closely at nutrition. Their coats can get a little rough as they age, so I also noticed the description that it contains salmon oil and omega-3 and -6.
Did the picky cats eat it well too?
There are two picky cats in my home, but both ate this food well without being selective. They even acted cute because they wanted more.

The food had quite a nutty smell. Maybe that aroma suited their tastes, but seeing all four cats eat it so eagerly was what pleased me most.

How large was the kibble, and how did the cat with all teeth removed respond?
Of the foods I've tried, this had the largest kibble. I crushed it for one cat that has had all its teeth removed, and it ate it well that way. The other three chewed and ate the kibble as it was without any problem.

How did the price and repurchase intention feel in a multi-cat household?
At the time of writing the original post, the price was ₩41,000 for 1.5 kg. In my home, we finish 1.5 kg in less than a month, so it felt expensive.
Still, large bags of food that are not portioned out are inconvenient because I have to divide them myself. I want my cats to finish opened food as quickly as possible, and I usually mix it with other foods so they do not get bored. Considering this feeding routine and all four cats' reactions, I would be willing to buy it again.
My satisfaction rating was 95%. I took off 5% because it is inconvenient to crush the food every time I give it to one cat. The price and kibble size were disappointing, but I was satisfied that even both picky cats ate it well.
