A brunch stop found along the Bukhan River

On a weekday lunch drive along the Bukhan River with my husband, we stopped in at MR Namyangju Main Branch for brunch.

It's a dog-friendly café in Namyangju, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're planning an outing with your dog too.

It's open Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 to 19:00, with last order at 18:30. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

We drove, and parking right in front of the store made things easy. Since it was a weekday lunch, we walked straight in without waiting, and the staff were friendly and easygoing.

For anyone driving to a dog-friendly café in Namyangju, having parking on site is a welcome bonus.

Where are the photo zones at MR?

What I especially liked were the photo zones scattered throughout, plus the nicely decorated outdoor space.

Plants blend into the indoor and outdoor areas, which flow right into a terrace, so it was nice to wander around before and after eating.

Being so close to the Bukhan River, it fit naturally into our drive route as a stop. And true to being a dog-friendly café in Namyangju, you can bring your pet along, making it a good option for an outing.

Walking around the grounds and annexes

MR isn't just indoor seating — the building connects into outdoor seating, so there was genuine fun in exploring the space while we hung out.

Other reviews I looked at also mentioned the floor-to-ceiling windows, terrace, and plant-filled spaces.

I noticed a self-service area with dishware and water, and I confirmed there are baby chairs too. If you're visiting with a pet, it's worth double-checking available seating and any supplies you need on site.

There are so many spots worth a photo that it made a good, unhurried course to explore before and after brunch.

Ordering brunch at MR Namyangju Main Branch

We ordered at the counter. That day we picked the Mountain Burger at ₩22,000, spicy tomato shrimp pasta at ₩25,000, and an iced americano at ₩7,000. Getting both a burger and pasta made for a good spread to share as a brunch for two.

Mountain Burger, 22,000 won

The Mountain Burger caught my eye first — a beef patty layered high with bacon, hash brown, cheese, egg, and vegetables, stacked up like a mountain. It came with fries too, so the plate looked quite generous.

If you're after a handmade burger loaded with lots of ingredients at once, this one's worth a look.

Spicy tomato shrimp pasta, 25,000 won

For pasta, I went with a tomato-based one with shrimp. It's a completely different vibe from the burger, so switching between the two made brunch more enjoyable.

With tomato sauce and shrimp, it paired really well sitting next to the burger.

At this dog-friendly café in Namyangju, we could pick both a burger and pasta in one sitting.

Iced americano, 7,000 won

The iced americano was a nice thing to sip between bites of burger and pasta.

Having food and drinks covered in one place made it a convenient brunch course.

Would we come back to MR Namyangju Main Branch?

What stuck with me most that day was the photo zones and outdoor space. If you're someone who prefers a place where you can take photos and enjoy the surrounding scenery over one where you just eat and leave, this one should suit you.

If you're looking for a dog-friendly café in Namyangju or craving brunch during a Bukhan River drive, this was a good stop to make.

Final thoughts after lunch at MR
