Euljiro3-ga restaurant: apple carrot juice and tomato risotto at Pyu

Today I'm bringing you an honest review of Pyu Euljiro, a new Western dining restaurant in Euljiro! 🍽️ It's totally perfect for hanging out with friends or going on a date, so I really wanted to introduce it to you 🙌

What does the name 'PHEW' mean?

'PHEW' is supposed to be the sigh of relief you let out when you undo the top button of a tight shirt 😮 The idea is to breathe out the breath you've unknowingly been holding in amid the fast pace of the city — the place calls itself a Ritual Dining restaurant.

Rather than flashy technique, they say they carefully draw out the natural flavor and aroma of seasonal ingredients through steaming and smoking, and they also offer signature cocktails, blended teas, and fresh-pressed juices that comfort the eyes too.

What the Pyu Euljiro storefront looks like

Pyu Euljiro's exterior is a white-toned building with a lit-up sign that catches your eye from far away ✨

The floor-to-ceiling windows with ivory sheer curtains fluttering in front of them already gave off amazing vibes.

Inside Pyu Euljiro: mood and seating

Inside, Pyu Euljiro has a comfortable yet upscale mood with wood-tone furniture and ivory fabric chairs.

Right when you walk in, there's a wooden lattice display case, and the cups, glasses, and plant decor lit up under the lights looked as pretty as a gallery display 😍

The ceiling has fabric panels draping down like waves, plus a marble-look bar counter and a wine glass display — you could tell every corner was thought through. There's also a spot sectioned off with a curved sheer curtain if you want something more private. Through the big windows you can see a view of green plants, so it'd look even prettier on a nice-weather day 🌿

The interior was seriously so, so pretty, and had a totally perfect vibe for a date or hanging out with girlfriends 💕

At Pyu Euljiro, pastas and risottos run ₩25,000–30,000, and main dishes are ₩28,000–54,000. For dessert there's the Four Seasons ice cream (sorbet) at ₩9,000.

What we ordered at Pyu Euljiro

We ordered the garden tomato risotto ₩25,000, grilled yuzu chicken thigh ₩28,000, an iced Americano ₩5,000, and apple carrot juice ₩6,500.

🍚 Garden tomato risotto: barley-like texture

The garden tomato risotto was the easiest-on-the-stomach risotto I've ever had! It was a style I'd never tried before — the rice seemed to be mixed with barley, which gave it a really new texture. The sauce wasn't too thick but had a deep, rich tomato flavor, so my spoon kept going back for more.

🍗 Grilled yuzu chicken thigh: how tender was it?

The grilled yuzu chicken thigh was the most impressive dish of the meal! The meat was seriously so tender 😳 It went so well with the yuzu sauce, and since the sauce wasn't overpowering, you could still really taste the meat itself — everything came together in harmony. This is a must-order — I strongly recommend it!!

🥤 Drinks: apple carrot juice and iced Americano

The apple carrot juice was also delicious — refreshing and a great match with the food. The iced Americano was a little strong, but still tasty!

Final verdict: would I go back to Pyu Euljiro?
